Hello I just want to confirm this bug in the latest release of lucid (x86), with: cups1.4.3-1ubuntu1.2 libpoppler-glib4 0.12.4-0ubuntu5 libpoppler5 0.12.4-0ubuntu5 poppler-utils0.12.4-0ubuntu5 ievince2.30.3-0ubuntu1.1 using acroread as an alternative (although its non-free) solves the problem. [Bug 585343] Re: maximum 9 virtual NICs in Ubuntu
Hi I have changed the file thats the problem, but the original version was like: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.0.1 auto eth0:1 iface eth0:1 inet static address 192.168.0.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 this eth0:X pattern was repeated until i had eth0:8. When i added the next virtual NIC eth0:9 and tried to restart the network config, i got the error saying "too much argmunents" To exclude that the error is related to the VMWARE/VMXNet Network Card you can test this with a physical machine (thats what i havent done so far). Public bug reported: I found a problem in Ubuntu 10.04 (x86) when i try to define more than 9 virtual network interfaces in /etc/network/interfaces (eth0:0 - eth 0:8). [Bug 396903] Re: User creating via preseed not working in 9.04 (32 bit)
I'll attach the syslog file in a minute, but if the users aren't saved to the passwd/shadow file of the installed system, how is it possible for the standard alternate (and normal desktop) installation routine to add users during the setup? -- User creating via preseed not working in 9.04 (32 bit) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/396903 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 297077] Re: libxen3 in hardy-backports breaks Xen 3.2
OK I found a solution as the package in the backports is broken (problem with python). You have to backport xen-3.3 on your own as according to this doc: http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/attempt-of-prevu-xen-33-hypervisor-at-ubuntu-hardy-dom0-2624-21-xen/ -- libxen3 in hardy-backports breaks Xen 3.2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297077 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: I have a problem with apt-mirror, it doesn't mirror the i18n files on the remote target (i.e. ftp://ftp.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/main/i18n/). Is there a solution available? Description:Ubuntu 8.04.2 Release:8.04 Package: ii apt-mirror0.4.5-1ubuntu1.1~8.04prevu1 APT sources mirroring tool (i backported apt-mirror from intrepid because of the .bz2 files bug in 0.4.5) Greets Thomas ** Affects: apt-mirror (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- apt-mirror i18n files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368419 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 297077] Re: libxen3 in hardy-backports breaks Xen 3.2
Hi What is the current status on this, is it now safe to update Xen 3.2 to 3.3 vial the backports repository or will this break my system (i ask because this is a productive machine)? [Bug 74320] Re: ocfs2 plugin fails to load
I can confirm this Bug with Ubuntu Server 8.04.2. But for me it only occures when i installed the "ocfs2-tools" package via apt. Without the package, the GUI is started and the plugin shown. -- ocfs2 plugin fails to load https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/74320 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 319238] [NEW] xen-tools xen-create-image crashes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xen-tools Hello I've an issue with my newly created xen-cluster: OS: Ubuntu 8.04 LTS XEN: 3.2 xen-tools: 3.8-4ubuntu4 It happens that when i create DomUs with xen-tools, xen-tools randomly crashes leaving an mounted LV (i use CLVM) under /tmp/ The Script itself just hangs and i have to press CTRL+C to interrupt and to unmount and delete the LV. To me it looks like there is a problem with the xen-create-image script because this appens before the hook scripts are run. Does anybody of you have an idea what casues this issue?
