[Bug 1875712] [NEW] Unusable graphics, nouveau + G73 (GEForce 7600)
Public bug reported: This is an older card, but it worked well on ubuntu 12.x :) Booting "Try Ubuntu" on 20.04 get the correct resolution and 2 displays, but the video glitches and shows all sorts of noise. [Bug 1094412] Re: Precise does not resume from S3 - kernel panic on resume
Best guess: Booting with 'noapic', I see the "irq 5: nobody cared" message on resume, along with 1 IRQ5 counts in /proc/interrupts (the devices claiming that IRQ are quiescent). Without 'noapic' that must be triggering something else to go haywire, perhaps the AER logic (though that is all MSI, so probably not). I'm flying blind on those boots. I bet that, if I can recall how to re-enable IRQ5, I'll see it continuously asserting. Chipset or BIOS bug maybe. I've got this same problem, it seems. I originally installed to /dev/sda. I later added 2 new disks. [Bug 529223] [NEW] new pkg for mcedaemon
Public bug reported: I have a project - mcedaemon (http://mcedaemon.org) which I think supplements mcelog and provides much better behavior for people who really care about machine checks.
