[Bug 49052] Re: no hfs+ journal write support by default (gets mounted as read only)

2012-12-15 Thread Timothy Kross
I would be able to test it if you make oneiric packages, I installed the
one for precise in your ppa and it still wouldn't mount rw (even after a
restart and trying to mount it using the mount command).

[Bug 772063] Re: App icon on the Unity Launcher lost track of running instance

2012-04-07 Thread Timothy Kross
I have this same problem with firefox. I've unlocked it from the
launcher and the icon disappeared (even though firefox was running) and
when I tried to add it again via dragging it from the dash to the
launcher it didn't reveal the icon at all, I have an empty spot there
now (it doesn't show the tooltip when hovered over), I have attatched a
screenshot.

[Bug 775847] Re: weird spacing of the Ubuntu logo when you go into the dash

Another possible idea would be to spin the logo when it's pressed. Or
perhaps to invert the colors? Design will probably have a better idea :)

2011-05-02 Thread Timothy Kross
Maybe just the change in background, or a glow around the logo? It looks
a bit out of place in my opinion, we don't represent the pressed state
this way in any other places. With the indicators we just change the
background for example. But we'll have to await the design team to see
what they decide :)

[Bug 775847] [NEW] weird spacing of the Ubuntu logo when you go into the dash

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

When the you summon the dash (pressing the super key or clicking on the
Ubuntu logo, it moves a bit to the left and down, see the screenshot.
I'm not sure if this is intentional, but maybe there is a better way to
indicate the 'clicked' state?

[Bug 727751] Re: workspace switcher keyboard shortcuts are unoptimal

2011-03-07 Thread Timothy Kross
Perhaps both keyboard shortcuts should be kept, with this I mean:
pressing any Ctrl-Alt-Arrow_Key combination in succession should cycle
through the workspaces, Left, Right, Up or Down.

[Bug 722206] [NEW] Unity is faded and hides when you want to click on it

2011-02-20 Thread Timothy Kross
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

I have the Hide Launcher setting set on Dodge Active Window.
When I hover over the Ubuntu icon, a faded Unity appears, when I try to use
this faded dock, it disappears. The opacity varies depending on the pointer
position, bottom right being the most translucent and top left being the most
opaque. When your pointer reaches the top left corner, Unity stays visible, and
you can then operate it. I have attached some screenshots showing this.

[Bug 717839] [NEW] Window Management Keyboard shortcuts not working correctly

2011-02-12 Thread Timothy Kross
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

I opened Ubuntu One (to register) and started tiling it with the window
management keyboard shortcuts
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity/KeyboardShortcuts#Window%20Management)
but it did not tile correctly, when I did Ctrl-Alt-5 repeatedly the
window started to shift little by little, not at all like it is supposed
to do.

[Bug 712183] [NEW] GDM appears in background after resume

2011-02-02 Thread Timothy Kross
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

I closed my laptop lid, while still plugged in, my laptop went to sleep.
Afterwards I pulled the plug, this caused it to hibernate. When I came
back I plugged it in then opened the lid. I wasn't confronted with GDM
as I normally would expect, but I saw my unity session as I have left
it. Upon trying to interact with it I saw that it was not responding.
Then I noticed GDM active in the background (through my transparent
terminal). I could still interact with it, so I logged in. This is
annoying and a privacy risk.

[Bug 691741] Re: Duplicated window title bars with Unity 3.2.8

2011-02-01 Thread Timothy Kross
Steps to reproduce:
1) Make sure "Use System Title Bar and Borders" is unticked (It is in the right
click menu of the tab bar)
2) Maximize Chromium
3) Tick "Use System Title Bar and Borders"
4) Untick "Use System Title Bar and Borders"
5) Restore Chromium

Result:
At step 2 we see two sets of window controls, one drawn by Chromium and one in
the top panel.
After step 3 we see two sets of window controls, one in the top panel, one in
Chromium's titlebar.
When step 5 is executed we will find again that we have two sets of window
controls, but this time one is drawn by Chromium and one by Unity.

Expected result:
At step 2: One set of window controls, the one drawn by Chromium.
At step 3: One set of window controls; in the top panel (Unity).
At step 5: One set of window controls, the one drawn by Chromium.
