Re: [Bug 400711] Re: [Polish Translation] StronaGłównaon right panel should be Ka talog Domowy
This issue is relevant to hardy and it's launcher. I don't think it's relevant to lucid. I haven't been running hardy for quite a long time now, so, unfortunately, I can't check if it's already fixed there. -- [Polish Translation] Strona Główna on right panel should be Katalog Domowy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400711 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 504551] [NEW] Broadcom proprietary firmware limits download speed to 90 kb/s
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: b43-fwcutter Hardware: 02:03.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02) Steps to reproduce: 1. Install proprietary Broadcom firmware via Jockey 2. Try to download something either form Internet or local LAN. What happens: Maximum download speed you get is 90 kb/s, irrespectively of actual network bandwidth. What should happen: The speed should be appropriate to your actual bandwidth's capacity. OpenFWWF (http://www.ing.unibs.it/openfwwf/) firmware with the same card works at full speed. [Bug 504583] [NEW] Touchpad On/Off hotkey ACPI event not translated to an input event on ASUS A6Rp
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Press touchpad on/off hotkey What happens: ACPI event is generated, but not an input event. What should happen: Touchpad should enable/disable When i run acpi_listen and press this touchpad on/off hotkey, I get: hotkey ATKD 006b 002b (The last number changes incrementally with each press of this button) Additional info: There used to be a working solution at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/AsusA6Rp for Hardy, that included editing xorg.conf and adding: Option SHMConfig on to the touchpad configuration. But it doesn't work for Karmic. [Bug 500913] [NEW] Week and Month calendar views have strange and broken mouse behaviour (as opposed to good Day and Work Week views)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution There are significant differences in mouse behaviour between Day/Work Week views(good) and Week/Month views(broken). 1. In Day/Work Week views, you _can_ Drag'n'Drop (good). In Week/Month views you _can't_ (very bad) 2. In Day/Work Week views, double-clicking an event opens it in a new dialog window (good). In Week/Month views it _doesn't_ - you have to double-click _twice_ (very bad) 3. In Day/Work Week views, when you first click an event and then click somewhere else in the calendar, the focus changes accordingly (good). In Week/Month views, when you first click an event and then click somewhere else in the calendar, the focus doesn't change, it's still on the event (very bad) The Day/Work Week views mouse behaviour is functional and intuitive. The Week/Month mouse behaviour is very cumbersome and incosistent. I can't see any rationale for having 2 completely separate mouse behaviours between the calendar views. This is most likely a bug. [Bug 452149] Re: Humanity delete icon uses a wrong concept
Do you know that some other themes and software use exactly the same design (crossed red circle) or something very similar for Cancel? I understand that the Trash icon might have some ambiguity on whether the item in question will be recoverable, but the Red Circle icon is completely counter-intuitive. It's the same as of humanity-icon- 0.4.1ubuntu5 It's not only the bluetooth icon. It's also hard to judge: 1. The volume level 2. Wi-fi signal 3. IM status (to a lesser extent, but still). [Bug 500940] [NEW] It's open-source software, not Open Source software
Public bug reported: The descriptions for main and universe are respectively Canonical- supported Open Source software and Community-maintained Open Source software. From http://catb.org/~esr/open-source.html (I think it's authoritative document on this): (A note about usage. In accordance with normal English practice, the term is open source standing alone, but open-source used as an adjective or in compounds; thus, open-source software.) [Bug 500948] [NEW] Software Sources can say packages info is outdated even when it's not
Public bug reported: How to reproduce: 1. Run Software Sources 2. Make some change in the repo list 3. Revert it manually (without clicking the Revert button) What happens: The dialog that packages info is outdated and needs to be updated pops up. What should happen: Program should be smart enough to recognize that no change was made. If there is a Revert button, that means the program _knows_ the original state and can compare with it already upon closing. Sure there is a Revert button. But it's not about that button. It's about the program not covering the other use case. This is a Bad Thing from usability and convenience standpoint.
