[Bug 1955327] [NEW] Libreoffice snap package has no Hebrew locale

2021-12-19 Thread Uri Shabtay
Public bug reported:

Installing latest candidate snap package of Libreoffice
(latest/candidate 7.2.4.1) within Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS doesn't show many
languages, e.g. Hebrew

[![snap 7.2.4.1 - no hebrew][1]][1]
[![enter image description here][2]][2]

When installing the Flatpak version (7.2.4.1) or even the legacy Ubuntu-
focal repo version (1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.2) Hebrew locale is supported
and shown.

[![Flatpak latest shows Hebrew locale][3]][3]

Please add Hebrew locale to the snap versions.

All the best

Should it be reflected in libinput somehow?

Very strange.

Anyway feel free to close if you think everything is normal.

Apparently the touchpad setting has been turned off, I have no idea why
nor do I remember doing this.

2019-04-14 Thread Uri
Apparently I'm on legacy boot ("Legacy boot on HDD"), but don't care
about it as long as everything works.

Should I change to UEFI?

Otherwise - can you provide specific instructions, as this is all pretty
new to me.

[Bug 1095711] [NEW] unity dash and top bar shown while using compiz enhanced zoom desktop

2013-01-03 Thread Uri Shabtay
Public bug reported:

when i zoom-in using Compiz's Enhanced Zoom Desktop - i use it to
navigate and manage the desktop while being zoomed-in.

however, when using Unity (unlike Gnome-Classic) - the dash icons and
top bar aren't hidden (again, unlike gnome classic).

beyond the fact it's an aesthetically annoying issue - it's also a bug -
due to the fact i can't click the indicator applications nor the global
menu.

Compiz within Unity should behave like it does in Gnome Classic - blend
in when i zoom in so i can click in any place around the desktop.

cheers.

[Bug 1055104] [NEW] dash and hud animation break transparency when clicked (no blur configuration)

2012-09-23 Thread Uri Shabtay
Public bug reported:

Hey folks,

After the last update to Unity 6.6.0 - the dash and hud, when clicked/opened,
are breaking the transparency behind them.
I use the "no blur" on my Dell Inspiron 1525 five-year-old laptop due to the
fact it's way faster than "Active blur" or "static blur" that can be configured
via CCSM / Ubuntu Tweak.

Active and Static blur are really laggy and slow when running a
video/common task behind them. "No blur", on the other hand - is
astonishing.

[Bug 1047345] [NEW] [i965gm] GPU lockup IPEHR: 0x780a0101

2012-09-07 Thread Uri Shabtay
Public bug reported:

hey folks,

Upgraded Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to 12.10 Beta 1. All in all, it works great on
my Dell Inspiron 1525 with Intel X3100 card.

One weird issue that makes my computer hang, screen turns off and i must
do a hard reboot is while clicking the "download Chrome" link on the
Timeline page google made for chrome after 4 years of development:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/timemachine/

again, it happened to me twice after attempting to duplicate the bug.

cheers.

[Bug 1039925] Re: [12.04 LTS] cannot configure 1440x900 mirror display although optional

2012-08-23 Thread Uri Shabtay
My apologies for doing the process twice - i didn't realize the commands
add this directly to the Bug.

Be advised that testing the Kernel isn't doable at the moment - since
I'm not next to my Mom PC.. thanks to TeamViewer 7 (C) - i managed to
pull the information needed.

[Bug 1039925] WifiSyslog.txt

2012-08-23 Thread Uri Shabtay
apport information

** Attachment added: "WifiSyslog.txt"

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039925/+attachment/3273250/+files/WifiSyslog.txt

** Description changed:

  Hello everyone,

First - see AskUbuntu issue here, to clarify the details:
  http://askubuntu.com/questions/171623/how-to-configure-1440x900-on-two-
  monitors-in-mirror-displays

In short, i bought a new computer for my Mom:

  Processor : 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz
  Memory : 3943MB (1228MB used)
Operating System : Ubuntu 12.04 LTS -Resolution : 1024x768 pixels -OpenGL
Renderer : Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Desktop
  X11 Vendor : The X.Org Foundation
  Genius Multimedia Keyboard
  ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse
  Venus USB2.0 Camera

The computer is connected via DVI into a 19" screen and via HDMI into a 26"
HDTV.
Within 'Displays' i chose to mirror displays with a 1440x900 resolution. But
whenever i tried, Ubuntu fails to do so. It's a driver issue - since within the
same PC under Windows 7, it works.
Not only that, after the attempt, the computer get really slow until i'll
reboot or eventually get a kernel panic.

  cheers,

  Uri
