[Bug 577377] Re: DVB-T USB tuner dib0700 wrong initiated (no "cold state" step)
Hi, I have installed and tested the last upstream kernel (2.6.34-999) as requested. Result: the issue is not present there any more. As to the problem. I finally got to know that exactly cold/warm states mean. So, the way it works now is right: after a restart (tuner is always connected to PC) the tuner has to be found in warm state, as the firmware was uploaded. OK. The problem is, every time the tuner is found in warm state (after a restart, for example, assuming the tuner is always connected to PC) it doesn't work (DiB0070 I2C write failed) and, more over, my usb hub (integrated in a south bridge AMD SB600 of my GA- MA69G-S3H motherboard) doesn't work any more, too. I have to disconnect the tuner, in order it will be found in cold state at the next boot, and restart my PC. How could I help further? [Bug 577377] [NEW] DVB-T USB tuner dib0700 wrong initiated (no "cold state" step)
Public bug reported: Hi, I'm running fully uptodate Ubuntu 10.04 and have the following problem with my DVB-T USB stick Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS (dib0700). The DVB-T stick is always attached to my PC and sometimes it doesn't work properly. Meaning I get a I/O error message while trying to watch TV with Kaffeine player (s. below DiB0070 I2C read failed). More over if I disconnect the stick there are NO messages about that events in kernel.log and any other USD device shows the same behavior - it doesn't work and there are no messages in reknel.log by connecting or disconnecting it. I noticed that this happens every time when the stick immediately found in warm state and the step of loading the firmware (dvb-usb- dib0700-1.20.fw) is missing. This is the kernel.log for the case the stick doesn't work May 4 20:10:17 vsn-desktop kernel: [ 12.558714] dib0700: loaded with support for 13 different device-types May 4 20:10:17 vsn-desktop kernel: [ 12.560036] dvb-usb: found a 'Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS (HD)/ T3' in warm state. [Bug 543176] Re: should specify version of nvidia driver; not just "current"
@ Martin. I agree with you - the package of the current nvidia driver (195.26.15) is called "nvidia-current", so it is not a jokey issue, otherwise, as you sad, we will have diff names. If the X maintainers decided to call the package so being aware of that issue, then they have had enough arguments for this decision. [Bug 552653] Re: [Lucid] Jockey gives message that it failed to install nvidia hardware driver
Hi, finaly I have found the right bug report about my problem :) The are too much new bug reports about that issue. I confirm, that inspite of the error message during the installation the NVIDIA driver was installed and works after a reboot. BUT after a reboot Hardware Drivers writes "a different version of this driver is in use". After pressing the Activate button I got the same error message: Sorry, the installation of this driver failed. Please have a look at the log file for details.: /var/log/jockey.log. See screen shot. I hope the fix you proposed will fix this problem too. [Bug 543176] Re: should specify version of nvidia driver; not just "current"
Agree, asked myself a couple of times which version of nvidia driver do I use in order to post some bug reports. In other case the next version of nvidia will be also called current and it will be difficult to differ "old" current version from "new" current version. You can see you driver version in NVIDIA X Server Setting or in Synaptic choused you installed driver. -- should specify version of nvidia driver; not just "current" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi! Ubuntu 9.10 final, DVB-T USB, Kaffeine 1.0-per 2. The same problem: "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data". I have also a DVB-S (PCI) card and it works perfectly. I have just tested the way toams posted: It seems the solution is not double clicking on the channels! Public bug reported: Binary package hint: checkbox Hi everyone, Ubuntu 9.10, beta, i386 GNOME 2.28.0 Kernel 2.26.31-11 I have the following problem. If I click a button AND make NO movement with my mouse AND click the same button again there is no further action which is supposed to be by clicking this button. With the second click the color of the button changes, but no action follows. I have this problem with system Testing Aplication (System->Administration->System Testing), button „Next“.
