[Bug 1270718] [NEW] Update Website URL and Update Description

2014-01-19 Thread Visuex.com
Public bug reported:

I would like to update the Website URL and Description inside the Ubuntu
Software Center.

Current URL:
http://urlget.sourceforge.net/

Please change to:
http://ugetdm.com

---

The current description is:

"Uget (formerly urlgfe) is a simple, lightweight and easy-to-use
download manager. It provides the following features:

Resume downloads.
Queue downloads.
Classify downloads in categories.
Mozilla Firefox integration (through Flashgot plugin).
Clipboard monitoring.
Import downloads import from HTML files.
Batch download. It also can be launched from the command line."

We would like to change this to say the following.

"uGet is a simple, easy-to-use lightweight download manager. Some of the
features included are:
Downloads Queue, Pause & Resume Downloads, Clipboard Monitor,
Multi-Connection, Multi-Mirror, Multi-Protocol
Batch Downloads, Speed Limits,
Browser Integration for Firefox, Chromium & Google Chrome
Advanced Configuration Options with Global Defaults and Categorized Defaults
and many more. Check out http://ugetdm.com/features for the full list."

formatting doesn't have to be exactly that...lay it out however it needs
to be in terms of the USC.

** Affects: uget (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1270509] [NEW] Please Update and use Ubuntu version, not from Debian.

2014-01-18 Thread Visuex.com
Public bug reported:

We have a new version of uGet which is 1.10.4. This version is not in
the Debian repos but we have submitted a bug report to them as well.

However, please do not pull our package from Debian because the app for
Debian and the app for Ubuntu are not the same as we utilize Ubuntu
specific libraries for those packages so the Debian package doesn't work
properly in Ubuntu as the app is intended to.

Ubuntu 13.10 has uGet 1.10.3 in the repo but unfortunately it has the
Debian package which means it isn't the proper package for Ubuntu.

Please, update the package in the repo for 14.04 with uGet 1.10.4 but
utilizing the package we make for Ubuntu.

Here are the files for the Ubuntu specific package:

Ubuntu tarball:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/1.10.4/uget_1.10.4-0ubuntu1%7Esaucy.tar.gz/download

amd64:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/1.10.4/uget_1.10.4-0ubuntu1%7Esaucy_amd64.deb/download

i386:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/1.10.4/uget_1.10.4-0ubuntu1%7Esaucy_i386.deb/download

If you want the generic non-Ubuntu tarball then you can get that here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/1.10.4/uget-1.10.4.tar.gz/download

---

Once 14.04 gets updated to this version then we will submit backports
for previous versions of Ubuntu.

[Bug 1045125] Re: Not able to edit software listing information

2013-07-01 Thread Visuex.com
this was never a bug with the app...this is a weird structure of Linux
apps in generalwe don't have control over our own app info.

[Bug 958769] Re: recording region selector window can't be moved over the top panel

2012-10-08 Thread Visuex.com
I just tried to force the window to where I want it to be using xwininfo
to get the window id and then wmctrl to modify it...the size control
worked be even with x0:y0 it would ignore the panel and so I tried with
a negative height of x0:y-24 and still no luck. This is a Kazam must fix
for me.

[Bug 958769] Re: recording region selector window can't be moved over the top panel

2012-10-08 Thread Visuex.com
This is what stops me from using Kazam...every other aspect of Kazam is
great (except the resizing the region with the mouse is annoying, it
would be 1000x faster with just telling it what resolution you want with
the keyboard).

Ubuntu users who need to record the panel includng the global menu and
such are screwed when using Kazam because even though ALT dragging lets
you move it past the panel you can no longer see where the box ends so
there is no way to get perfect placement of say 1280x720 at x0:y0

These kinds of apps are suppose to make tasks easier...this does the
opposite.

I would be satisified if I could just control it through the Terminal
but I can't do that either...the terminal commands are incredibly
useless so Kazam is an app with AWESOME POTENTIAL but is not ready for
primetime.

[Bug 958769] Re: recording region selector window can't be moved over the top panel

2012-10-08 Thread Visuex.com
gtk-recordmydesktop is crap but it does provide a lot of control such as
resolution (via keyboard), keyboard shortcut for stopping the recording
and much more...so at the moment I am forced to use it because it
actually works...the annoying thing is it is crap when it comes to
framerate and audio/video sync so I have to waste a lot of time to use
gtk-recordmydesktop...so please make Kazam better asap and fix these
kind of usability problems.
