[Bug 761409] Re: Cannot click on left-most indicator on panel if a non-indicator icon appears

2011-08-11 Thread Vivek Kapoor
@mbarak Yes, that makes a difference. If you individually whitelist the
items in the indicator panel, then you'll not face this issue.

[Bug 568634] Re: Ambiance causes odd comboboxes in OpenOffice.org

2010-05-20 Thread Vivek Kapoor
@Mandy - could be true about the combo boxes. But apart from that, there
are black border boxes that I'm referring to in the screenshot (attached
in my earlier post), and jagged edges to Sheet 1, Sheet 2 & Sheet3 tabs,
and lastly the the arrow keys in the Calc screenshot. That's not as much
pronounced in New Wave.

[Bug 568634] Re: Ambiance causes odd comboboxes in OpenOffice.org

2010-05-18 Thread Vivek Kapoor
@Mandy - I'm not sure about that. I tried the theme "New wave" which
comes by default, and it looks better than Ambiance. And I found it to
be a comparatively darker theme, than say Clearlooks.

[Bug 568634] Re: Ambiance causes odd comboboxes in OpenOffice.org

2010-05-15 Thread Vivek Kapoor
Though the ambiance theme looks pretty good otherwise, but when
Openoffice.org Writer opens up, not only the issue as mentioned by
Pascal is there, but at the bottom there are black boxes covering all
the options (as in the attached screenshot). Also, the rulers are
covered with it and when you open Draw then everything looks boxy boxy.

The black border effect is more pronounced when Calc is opened. See the
attached screenshot - the left and right arrow buttons and the tabs for
the three worksheets are covered with jet black border. It isn't smooth
and is too raw.

These black boxes make the entire interface less sophisticated as
compared to say when you open Firefox or Evolution.

[Bug 92345] Re: OpenOffice copy/pasting text containing link with special characters in the URL make it crash

2009-10-05 Thread Vivek Kapoor
I am using Karmic Beta with OO.org version 3.1.1 Build:9420 OOO310m19

The issue persists if I use the LANG as en_US.UTF-8 which is the
default. However, if I use LANG=C and start OO.org Writer through

$ LANG=C oowriter

Then the issue does not occur. Probably it is related to the language
issue? I faced issues earlier with respect to the spellcheck wherein
it'll not do the spellcheck when the LANG=en_IN, but when changed to
en_US.UTF-8, all was fine. Then I started using a US timezone to make
OO.org work as desired.

[Bug 356031] Re: No acl tab in Jaunty

2009-05-27 Thread Vivek Kapoor
I am able to see the ACL tab. Using Jaunty 2.6.28-11-generic 64 Bit, and
eiciel 0.9.6.1-2ubuntu1. The change that I had made was to put "acl" as
a parameter in /etc/fstab and remount - till the time you don't put it,
it doesn't appear. Oh, and I'd also installed nautilus-scripts, just in
case.

[Bug 175233] Re: Evolution hangs with "Formatting Message" after several hours

2009-04-27 Thread Vivek Kapoor
Confirmed as above, on a Fresh Jaunty 9.04 64 Bit Desktop. I have 3
imaps accounts and have enabled 'Load images in messages from contacts'
option. It gets stuck, and works if I do 'killall evolution-data-
server-2.26'

[Bug 239355] Re: KVM very, very slow with RedHat and Solaris guests

2008-06-18 Thread Vivek Kapoor
I am having the exact same problem. I am trying to install AsteriskNOW
1.0.2 (32-bit) on a virtual machine. The case here is

1. I already have a Virtual Machine with /dev/sda5 as its primary storage. That
machine is shutdown.
2. Through virt-manager I add a Storage Drive to it (an IDE CDROM), and point
it to the AsteriskNOW ISO file.
3. I make the CDROM as the bootable device.
4. It does boot without any problems, but gets stuck while loading anaconda (as
in the message above), and gives the message of "hda: DSC Timeout" in VT4.

[Bug 205626] Re: can not find "flashplugin-nonfree"

I also encountered this and was initially baffled. I think it would be a
good idea if the user is either informed that the repositories are not
enabled, or better, give the user an option to enable the repositories.

[Bug 85288] Re: (en_IN locale) While Assigning Tasks, Day shown as Sunday

2007-05-17 Thread Vivek Kapoor
Just an addition to this, using en_IN with xmms or other GTK 1.2
applications has missing text (as in attached screenshot) which goes
away if LANG=C is used. Probably there's a larger problem than just
Evolution.

[Bug 85288] While Assigning Tasks, Day shown as Sunday

2007-02-14 Thread Vivek Kapoor
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I'm using Edgy Eft with Evolution 2.8.1.

When I open up the 'Tasks' window and create a new task, the task is
listed properly.

When I right click on the Task and select - 'Assign Task', it opens up a
form where I need to enter the details.

When I select the start date, no matter what date I select, it always
shows 'Sunday' next to it. So if I select Feb 15 2007, it'll say 'Sunday
February 2007'.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
