[Bug 947443] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes
Hi I have added the 3 files you asked for Fabio. The problem I am reporting is easy to reproduce; I only need to open Gnome Image viewer and change pictures fast or zoom on large pictures - and it will freeze. Same happens when I open lots of tabs in Firefox from Liferea. Thank you for checking my bug report. [Bug 947443] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes
Happened again for 3 time today. Last time I had Firefox with 13 tabs, Transmission running and Thunderbird when it froze hard (would not respond to CTRL+ALT+FX). [Bug 947443] [NEW] Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes
Public bug reported: From time to time the Ubuntu desktop just freezes on me, and I cant use the keyboard nor the mouse. I looks like it happens when I have many tabs open in Firefox, but it can also happen when I use other programs (like Gnome Image Viewer). When it freezes I might be able to use CTRL+Alt+F4 (when I press several times) so I can shut the pc off with shutdown -r now command. If not my only option is to turn the power off (I lose all my work when this happens). I have a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1, and I have not installed the proprietary AMD graphic driver. This also happened when I tried out the Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 on the same pc. But when I installed and used the xbuntu-desktop on Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 it worked just fine - so it must be something with the Unity stuff (or compiz). This have never happens before on my pc (I have used previous versions of Ubuntu on the same hardware). Some of my hardware: Intel Core 2 Quad AMD Radeon HD 5870 I do not know how to read log files - but I can post them if you tell me where to look. Thanks for reading. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947443 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 desktop freezes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/947443/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 728615] Re: Natty manual partitioning window only displays two devices
The menu under Allocate drive space is to small imo. and I cant resize it. I installed Natty on an Asus U35J laptop (13 screen) and it was hard to choose the different partitions with the touch-pad. It was also hard to get an overview over my partitions. The fixed size for the window is one thing, but if you could show 4 or more partions it would be much better. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/728615 Title: Natty manual partitioning window only displays two devices -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 711926] Re: [Natty] Couldn't choose correct keyboard layout in Ubiquity
I installed Natty Alpha 2 yesterday and hit the wrong language under the «Choose your keyboard layout» (thanks to the touchpad on my laptop). I tried the go back button but will not get the «Choose your keyboard layout» screen back, it skips it, and goes to the partition screen. When I click forward it skips the language menu. So I had to cancel the installation(I cant enter my name/password under the Who are you? menu with wrong language). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711926 Title: [Natty] Couldn't choose correct keyboard layout in Ubiquity -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 234752] [NEW] Bug in bmpx

[Bug 149586] Re: [upstream] [hardy] openoffice compiz bug - Wizards' first dialogs far too small (unusable)
I can confirm this, and I want to add; this bug will also hinder the user from using dialogs belonging to extensions for OpenOffice.org. Try «Bookmarks Menu»(http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/bookmarksmenu), with Compiz on the dialog will get small and you cant change it. Many users will not understand/learn why they get so small dialogs.
