[Bug 1173941] Re: Ubuntu 13.04 doesn't start/ show login screen/ after intallation or upgrade

2013-06-30 Thread alecive
Any update on this? I'm probably experiencing this bug as well, although
sometimes the systems seems to boot properly without any external
intervention.

[Bug 1077415] Re: No recursive search with the simple engine

2013-03-13 Thread alecive
Gnome 3.6 is the worst gnome ever, and recursive search removal played a
pivotal role on this. Do we really need to get stuck with gnome devs
that mess up their DE and remove this functionality (and many other)
from the upcoming ubuntu release?

[Bug 928324] Re: zeitgeist-fts using up 600 MB of RAM

2013-03-05 Thread alecive
Same problem here.

zeitgeist is eating 280MB of ram. After zeitgeist-daemon --replace it
drops to 1,2 MB, but a single search in the dash makes it spike to the
previous levels.

[Bug 757727] Re: Zeitgeist-daemon memory usage skyrockets after dash search

2013-03-04 Thread alecive
Hi Seif,

I have the problem as well (on Ubuntu 12.04). Only two points though:

0. The memory consumption comes from zeitgeist-fts rather than
zeitgeist-daemon as a couple of guys here signaled

1. I never used Ubuntu One (no need), so I don't know if this can be an
useful information

2. What ppa are you talking about? I'm eager to solve this issue as soon
as possible!

Thanks,

Alessandro

[Bug 903382] Re: [powerpc] Unsatisfiable dependency in oneiric

2012-01-23 Thread alecive
I'm on oneiric. I enabled oneiric proposed but I can't get the problem
fixed.

I typed sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade and sudo apt-get
dist-upgrade, but my gnome-shell is still broken. I also saw that it's
the wrong version:

How to install 3.2.1-0-ubuntu1.1 version?

[Bug 651104] Re: intel graphics turbo disabled

2011-03-24 Thread alecive
Same problem on SONY VAIO VPCS12C5E, running Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04
with 2.6.38-7-generic-pae (Natty kernel I think). My CPU is i5-450M, and
I also have a dual graphic (NVidia 310M + integrated Intel).

A question: doing the workaround I'll simply remove that message or I'll
improve my system? I didn't fully understood.. :)
