version seems to erroneously pack that file which leads to a clash with
linux-tools-5.15.0-27.

This happens when a low latency kernel is installed without trying to

[Bug 1968845] Re: Upgrade to 22.04 from 20.04 ends with dbus installation asking for a reboot

2022-04-22 Thread Arturo Avilés
The message appeared (a reboot is required to replace dbus-daemon) and I
almost restarted my computer. Luckily I checked this forum. After 5 or
more minutes it continued with the installation.

[Bug 1876316] [NEW] Default line out device missing after suspend in 20.04

2020-05-01 Thread arturo
Public bug reported:

After suspending the computer the default sound device is gone and the
sound output now defaults to the HDMI out.

Resetting pulseaudio with pulseaudio -k makes no difference, removing
the user pulseaudio config and killing / restarting the server as
explained in some troubleshoot guides doesn't make any difference
either.

The only solution seems to be to restart the computer.

This is happening in two different computers recently updated to 20.04
from 19.10 one of them and from 18.04 the other.

Alsamixer seems to show the default sound device but pulseaudio can't
see it

PD: I have mapped F10 to tilix quake and doesn't work too, when this
fails.

Looking for similar errors some posts suggest to disable the
wpa_supplicant service as it might be clashing with NetworkManager
starting it on it's own but disabling it doesn't seem to have any
effect.

This seems to happen only when connecting to a particular router, a
vodafone EasyBox (which worked fine before updating to ubuntu 19.04)
connecting to some other router seems to not have this problem

[Bug 837456] Re: XTestFakeKeyEvent changes keyboard mapping to 'us'

2017-11-23 Thread Arturo Espinosa
Hi. I can confirm this situation on Lubuntu 17.10 with
onboard-1.4.1-2ubuntu1 installed and Spanish keyboard configured
(localectl set-keymap es). No need for clients generating synthetic
keyboard events: just using onboard, any key, will switch it back to
'us' layout. Same: any physical keyboard usage will switch the system
back to the correct layout.

This is a quite barebones installation for a kiosk; I'm not using fcitx
nor any other fancy IM subsystem. Before removing fcitx, I didn't notice
this bug. It seems like fcitx kept onboard at bay.

Issuing setxkbmap es at the start of the session (in my case in
~/.config/lxsession/Lubuntu/autostart) fixed the problem AFAICT.

Otherwise, I'm VERY happy with onboard and its flexibility. So far I
have been able to overcome all of its quirks and take advantage of its
power, without any need to patch the code. We have custom layout, theme
and colors. Again, very happy with it.

2017-10-03 Thread Arturo Salinas
I am using "Linux 4.10.0-35-generic #39~16.04.1-Ubuntu" and I have the
same issue with the Bluetooth. I replaced the file:

/lib/firmware/intel/ibt-hw-37.7.10-fw-1.80.2.3.d.bseq

as mentioned in a previous comment. The problem has been fixed. But
still my trackpad frozen for a short time and then wakes up again.

[Bug 1513647] [NEW] vmhfgs (shared folders) module is not built

2015-11-05 Thread Arturo Rinaldi
Public bug reported:

Since I needed an updated version of the tools, running on my Ubuntu
15.10 VM build with VMWare Fusion Pro 8.0.2, I have downloaded the
Xenial Sources and built the DEBs from scratch.

However, altough the build went smoothly, when installing the new
packages (10.0.0-3000743) the shared folders module (vmhgfs) is not
built.

Would you mind to look into this issue ?

2015-11-04 Thread Arturo
Solved !

As Alexandre Moraes.
I remove the xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package then the upgrade works, from
Ubuntu 14.04 using i3wm.

Full set of commands:
$ apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
$ apt-get autoremove
$ apt-get autoclean
$ apt-get update
$ do-release-upgrade

Best regards!

[Bug 1319134] Re: Shutdown configuration of power button won't work

2015-07-02 Thread Luis Arturo Pina III
I too can't shutdown by the power button, don't have that file or folder, with
Lubuntu 15.04.
I ran:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get clean
reboot
xfce4-power-manager --debug

with no results. The debuger ran tthrough a day night and just keeps going,
so I terminated the process.

[Bug 1457269] [NEW] snmptrapd forwarding twice every received trap

2015-05-20 Thread Arturo
Public bug reported:

I am running 14.04 server and am I trying to log traps received from an
external source

at the same time I need to forward these traps to another server.

External Source - Ubuntu 14.04 Second server

I works usign snmptrapd,

NET-SNMP Version: 5.7.2
Web: http://www.net-snmp.org/
Email: net-snmp-cod...@lists.sourceforge.net

however, every received trap is re-sent twice from the Ubuntu server

External Source ---1x-- Ubuntu 14.04 -2x-Second server

I have confirmed this with a sniffer on both the ubuntu server and the external
server

My config in the snmptrapd.conf file is this:

authCommunity log,net community1
forward default 201.103.60.138
format2 %V\n%Date:%h:%j:%k-%l/%m/%y\n%v\n--\n

I have tried several tweeks but this seems to be a bug

The debuging shows also this behaviour

BUG SOLVED:
I tried x-org edgers and that fixed the bug.

These were the steps:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-ati
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

After restarting, the bug was fixed.

Thank you very much !

[Bug 842337] Re: unity does not show systray icons

2012-03-21 Thread Arturo 'Buanzo' Busleiman
When I upgraded to Oneiric, upon first reboot I automatically chose the unity
2d desktop, not the default.
I set the whitelist to 'All'. Just a couple icons appeared, but not, for
instance, pidgin.

The other day I wanted to check out the default desktop environment, and
there it is: my pidgin systray icon.

So, maybe there's some gl thing going on here or what?

[Bug 842337] Re: unity does not show systray icons

2012-02-09 Thread Arturo 'Buanzo' Busleiman
In my case, the Skype icon shows, and there's only a space between the
skype one and dropbox's one. The one in the middle should be pidgin's,
and it's there but invisible. I can click on it and interact.

Transmission-gtk is shown as well.

my whitelist setting via dconf includes Skype and Pidgin.

[Bug 877464] Re: Linking with purple-based (skype) contact fails

I've marked folks as affected too because it also doesn't work if the
linking is made via gnome-contacts.

** Also affects: empathy

[Bug 879619] Re: Samsung SCX-3200 scanner ceased to work in 11.10

2011-11-01 Thread Arturo Orlando
I can add that this bug also affects my Samsung SCX-4521F.
sane-find-scanner’s report is analogous to the opening poster’s. scanimage -L
just doesn’t work.
Everything was working perfectly in 11.04.

2011-10-20 Thread Arturo Ilhuıtemoc
In my specific case, reinstalling the latest Ubuntu fixed my bug, but I
wouldn't mark this as fixed since I basically started from zero.
