[Bug 2045756] Re: systemd-networkd-wait-online.service fails to complete if one of the network interfaces is not physically connected

2024-04-16 Thread bam
"optional: true" setting doesn't work for me, maybe because I use
Network Manager:

$ cat /etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml
# This is the network config written by 'subiquity'
network:
  ethernets:
eno0:
  dhcp4: true
  dhcp6: true
  optional: true
  renderer: NetworkManager
  version: 2

I also do not have cables connected, WiFi only.

Any advice?

[Bug 711305]

2020-03-30 Thread bam
(In reply to Brian Vanderburg from comment #8)

I don't create custom .desktop file with `-new-instance` for FF but still get
the "already running error" when trying to open "mailto:; links while TB is
open.
How is that?

[Bug 1385113] Re: hid-generic 0005:099A:0500.0001: unknown main item tag 0x0

2019-01-30 Thread bam
It's not clear from the description what is the problem exactly?
I have similar symptoms with "unknown main item tag 0x0" message after timeout.

But my problem is that bluetooth keyboard disconnects on timeout (which
is normal), but then, on the first key press it's just loss, while the
keyboard reconnects successfully.

It doesn't occurs on the same system with Windows 10 - the key doesn't
lost on reconnect.

I wonder if it can be the same problem.

[Bug 1599599] Re: System beep broken (again) in Xenial Xerus

2017-07-20 Thread bam
Hi Anthony,
have you "echo -e '\a'" working in Ubuntu X11 Terminal?
The only way I could get beeper sound in X11 is 'beep' command.
But in virtual consoles, all the methods work.
So maybe it's too early to set this bug as Fixed?

[Bug 1364630] Re: init: Error while reading from descriptor: Broken pipe

2016-10-05 Thread bam
Happened to me after upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04.
"broken pipe", can't boot. Intel graphics.
Problem occurs only if boot with Upstart (Systemd doesn't suffer) !
It seems like there are rase conditions somewhere because after all day of
unsuccessful battle it's turned out that sometimes system just boots normally,
but sometimes not..

[Bug 996845] Re: Ubuntu 12.04. Time in other locations shows the time for unspecified locations .

2012-08-13 Thread Sam Bam
I have the same problem. Also, when I attempt to add other (new)
locations, it does not recognize the places to type, and I am given no
option to select from per-existing places.

This feature was working fine for me as recently as a few days ago. But
I noticed that it was not working correctly after completing a system
update today.

Gustavo, could you test if your dongle can wake system up from S3 suspend?
If so, it would be cool to get full model name, so that I can find it's foto.
Thanks.
