[Bug 85723] Suspend works with driver ati

2007-02-24 Thread bugfriend
When using driver ati instead of fglrx the suspend works. ATI´s new
driver 8.34.8 should solve the proplem with fglrx.

[Bug 85723] Re: Laptop doesn´t wake up from s uspend to ram

2007-02-21 Thread bugfriend
As I assumed the suspend-wake-up is a problem when the Laptop is
suspended a longer time. After I tried to wake up my laptop this
morning, the wake up failed again. Whit 6.10 I suspended the Laptop
every evening and did not had this problem.

[Bug 85723] Re: Laptop doesn´t wake up from s uspend to ram

2007-02-20 Thread bugfriend
I made some more tries. I started my laptop and after KDE comes up, I
made a suspend and a wake up, it works. I retried 3 times. No problems
with wake up. Maybe it´s a problem, when my Laptop is sleeping for a
longer time. Next try was a normal shutdown. The System hangs in
shutdown-screen and sometimes the screen is black for a second and goes
back to shutdown-screen, but nothing more happens. After hard reboot I
tried to hibernate the system. The screen goes black for a short time
and locked my screen. Thats all. I will now test the suspend until
tomorrow and report the result here.

[Bug 85723] Re: tryed with kernel 2.6.20-6 and it works

2007-02-18 Thread bugfriend
After the above post,i made some more tryes with my laptop. Shutdown
with 2.6.20-8 fails too, but when I go back to 2.6.20-6 suspend to ram
and shutdown works fine, but DRI with my ATI 200M doesn´t work anymore.
