With a brand new install of libapache2-mod-shib2 on 11.10, I get the
following:

So, is this the same bug, or do I need to file a new bug/find help

2011-11-17 Thread david jenke
No pun intended, but I just replaced my Ubuntu 11.10 with Linux Mint today. I
was not pleased with 11.10 and felt that Ubuntu's updated versions have not met
my expectations.

I am very well pleased with Linux Mint and am presently downloading updates.

Wish you the best!

Re: [Bug 296705] Re: After install of GNuSolfege and Wine

2008-11-12 Thread david jenke
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 120810 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120810

after updating from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10, not all of the keyboard numeric keys
work, some of the menu icons don't work, the audio does not work (audio did not
work on 8.04 either), video goes 'bananas' occasionally + had to use the 'safe
mode' to boot up.
In short, I am not really pleased with 8.10 so far. The only thing that did
not work on 8.04 was the audio and that was not good either.
Can I reload 8.04 or 7.10?

I do not like using windows, but it seems that I may be forced to.
This is a new HP computer... all of the above works on windows.

When I put a CD in, I get the following message:
*Playback Error*
*internal GStreamer error: state change failed. Please file a bug at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.*

If I go to System>Control Center>Hardware>Multimedia Systems
Selector>Audio>Default Output>Test
I get the message:
*Alsa-Advanced Linux Sound Architecture:

*
I have tried various things that were suggested on Linux forums, but
nothing has worked.
