No pun intended, but I just replaced my Ubuntu 11.10 with Linux Mint today. I was not pleased with 11.10 and felt that Ubuntu's updated versions have not met my expectations. I am very well pleased with Linux Mint and am presently downloading updates. Wish you the best! In short, I am not really pleased with 8.10 so far. The only thing that did not work on 8.04 was the audio and that was not good either. Can I reload 8.04 or 7.10? I do not like using windows, but it seems that I may be forced to. This is a new HP computer... all of the above works on windows.
