Still have this in Intrepid, however it happens repeatedly (every X minutes depending on how screensaver is set). I have this exact problem with Evolution -> Exchange -> iPhone http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=921842 Should this be considered the same issue (iPhone is an OWA client) or do I need to create a seperate report. I'm on Intrepid Ibex. I tried to dig into the difference between an appointment created in Outlook and one created in Evolution, but I can't seem to find any difference. [Bug 100059] Re: evolution-exchange hangs when autocompleting mail-addresses
I have a very similar problem. Sometimes when I type in an email address, as the system tries to look it up to validate it, my system hangs for some period of time. [Bug 231220] Re: Evolution-exchange backend hangs after a while
I have a very similar problem. First start Evolution, no problem. Then for some reason, the thing will start to hang while checking addresses. When it does, gnome is completely locked up. [Bug 194979] Re: "Home Folder" keyboard shortcut does not work
Solution 1 didn't work for me (that's the bug - mapping Home Folder has no effect) Solution 2 did work for me, but had a little trouble - maybe just restarting X would have worked first try, but I got myself off in the weeds. While I was messing with this, I noticed that Compiz sets Win+E to "Expo" by default. In addition to this being broken in the Keyboard Shortcuts config dialog (it just said "E" for the "Expo" key), it brought up another issue - wouldn't Metacity and Compiz keyboard shortcuts potentially conflict with "Keyboard Shortcuts" and really confuse a user on what takes precedence. Seems like there may be some integration issues that need to be worked out there. Anyway, sorry for getting off track. Thanks for the workaround! -- "Home Folder" keyboard shortcut does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194979 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 194979] Re: "Home Folder" keyboard shortcut does not work
I have this problem as well. I have gnome-settings-daemon 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 installed. I know it sounds like low priority, but this is pretty annoying piece of the user interface and I have to believe a reasonably easy fix. Maybe someone can share a workaround that makes it less severe. @zoidberg: can you give details on your workaround through gconf- editor? [Bug 262348] [NEW] configuration settings aren't applied correctly (Hardy)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution-exchange Using the configuration wizard to setup a new install of Evolution, I could get through the "Authenticate" function, but once in Evolution, I could never get it to connect to my exchange server. Using the debug output option (E2K_DEBUG=5), I was able to see that the interpretation of my config information was incorrect. Specifically, it appears that Evolution was adding my username and my mailbox name to the end of the URL to OWA, so it was sending queries here: https://owa.server.name/exchange/USername/username which kept failing. I never could figure out how to tweak the parameters of the account, so had to go into gconf-editor and manually fix it. Now it works fine.
