[Bug 125160] Re: Screensaver is active while still in session with terminal server client

2009-01-20 Thread dlstyley
Still have this in Intrepid, however it happens repeatedly (every X
minutes depending on how screensaver is set). Very annoying.

same problem and same fix on amd64. Thanks! Now if someone can just
get this fix into the mail repo...

[Bug 141231] Re: Evolution to exchange calender update bug

2008-11-13 Thread dlstyley
I have a very similar problem, except that the mobile device is an
iPhone, which also uses OWA for sync.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=921842

Is this the same as this bug report?

[Bug 115913] Re: Appointments in evolution-exchange calendar not synchronized properly with other OWA/OMA clients

2008-11-13 Thread dlstyley
I have this exact problem with Evolution -> Exchange -> iPhone

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=921842

Should this be considered the same issue (iPhone is an OWA client) or do
I need to create a seperate report.

I'm on Intrepid Ibex. I tried to dig into the difference between an
appointment created in Outlook and one created in Evolution, but I can't
seem to find any difference. However my iPhone wont' sync the
appointments created in Evolution.

[Bug 100059] Re: evolution-exchange hangs when autocompleting mail-addresses

2008-11-13 Thread dlstyley
I have a very similar problem. Sometimes when I type in an email
address, as the system tries to look it up to validate it, my system
hangs for some period of time. If I wait long enough (30-90 seconds),
it will come back. But it is VERY annoying. This is on Intrepid Ibex
with all updates applied.

[Bug 231220] Re: Evolution-exchange backend hangs after a while

2008-11-13 Thread dlstyley
I have a very similar problem. First start Evolution, no problem. Then
for some reason, the thing will start to hang while checking addresses.
When it does, gnome is completely locked up. This is very annoying when
trying to work, and may force me back to Windows. I sure hoep it gets
fixed. I'd be happy to try to debug, but my skills are pretty limited.

[Bug 194979] Re: "Home Folder" keyboard shortcut does not work

2008-09-18 Thread dlstyley
Solution 1 didn't work for me (that's the bug - mapping Home Folder has
no effect)

Solution 2 did work for me, but had a little trouble - maybe just
restarting X would have worked first try, but I got myself off in the
weeds. While I was messing with this, I noticed that Compiz sets Win+E
to "Expo" by default. In addition to this being broken in the Keyboard
Shortcuts config dialog (it just said "E" for the "Expo" key), it
brought up another issue - wouldn't Metacity and Compiz keyboard
shortcuts potentially conflict with "Keyboard Shortcuts" and really
confuse a user on what takes precedence. Seems like there may be some
integration issues that need to be worked out there.

Anyway, sorry for getting off track. Thanks for the workaround!

[Bug 194979] Re: "Home Folder" keyboard shortcut does not work

2008-09-18 Thread dlstyley
I have this problem as well. I have gnome-settings-daemon
2.22.1-0ubuntu2 installed.

I know it sounds like low priority, but this is pretty annoying piece of
the user interface and I have to believe a reasonably easy fix. Maybe
someone can share a workaround that makes it less severe.

@zoidberg: can you give details on your workaround through gconf-
editor? Where is the key that you have to set and what syntax do you
use to tell it to use the "Windows Key"?

[Bug 262348] Re: configuration settings aren't applied correctly (Hardy)

2008-09-18 Thread dlstyley
Glad to hear I'm not crazy...

Addition info and easier workaround:

I am able to use the configuration dialog if I simply leave the
"Mailbox" field empty when configuring the account. This is much easier
than the solution I posted above.

[Bug 262348] [NEW] configuration settings aren't applied correctly (Hardy)

2008-08-28 Thread dlstyley
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution-exchange

Using the configuration wizard to setup a new install of Evolution, I
could get through the "Authenticate" function, but once in Evolution, I
could never get it to connect to my exchange server. Using the debug
output option (E2K_DEBUG=5), I was able to see that the interpretation
of my config information was incorrect. Specifically, it appears that
Evolution was adding my username and my mailbox name to the end of the
URL to OWA, so it was sending queries here:

https://owa.server.name/exchange/USername/username

which kept failing. I never could figure out how to tweak the
parameters of the account, so had to go into gconf-editor and manually
fix it. Now it works fine.

System info:
Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1

Package Info:
evolution 2.22.3.1-0ubuntu1
evolution-exchange 2.22.3-0ubuntu2

[Bug 207723] Re: Evolution will not authenticate on Exchange

2008-08-25 Thread dlstyley
I think I've got the same problem as others here. I can get past the
"Authentication" that is requested during creation of the Evoluation
account, but then I can never actually connect.

Here is the output from the commend line. Is there some workaround
until a fix comes out?

[Bug 183076] "enable bitmap caching" option in tsclient doesn't work properly

2008-01-14 Thread dlstyley
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tsclient

When I open tsclient, depending on what the last state of the "bitmap
caching" checkbox was, it opens with the opposite. In other words, if I
check the box and close it, then when I open it, the box will be
unchecked. But if I uncheck the box and close it, when I re-open it the
box is checked. Is this a bug or is something screwy on my installation?

I'm seeing the same thing on fresh install of Gutsy. I get the exact

mentioning, however that this is on an old laptop that has a Celeron
