[Bug 803152] [NEW] streaming music to airport express choppy
Public bug reported: In maverick streaming music to an airport express worked fine using phonon-backend-gstreamer, whereas using phonon-backend-xine or phonon- backend-vlc produced choppy and unusable output. Since my upgrade to natty also phonon-backend-gstreamer is unusable to play the music on my stereo. Also it is impossible for me to output two different streams to the same output device. This problem is not restricted to the airport express. Using phonon-backend-xine or phonon-backend-vlc this problem is absent. [Bug 772775] [NEW] Update to 11.04 failed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager The upgrade failed while configuring the packages. Running dpkg --configure -a manually gave: dpkg: Fehler: Parsen der Datei »/var/lib/dpkg/status«, nahe Zeile 13185 Paket »kde-plasmoid-cwp«: Unsinn hinter Wort im Feld »priority« The priority was set to low for kde-plasmoid-cwp (and only for this package) in /var/lib/dpkg/status. I changed this to optional. After starting dpkg --configure -a again it ran through and configured lots of packages but there are also lots of dependency problems. Most of them seem to be related to python. [Bug 581370] Re: airport express chops sound when streaming from the net
Update: The constant data transfer to the AE (even when there is no sound output) is only a little less than 50kb/s. When I play sound with one of the applications that work well with the AE, the data transfer increases to approx. 200kb/s. When using mplayer, xine or vlc, the data transfer does not seem to go up at all, even though some choppy sound is being transmitted to the AE. Hope this helps locating the bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/581370 Title: airport express chops sound when streaming from the net -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 581370] Re: airport express chops sound when streaming from the net
I have related issues with maverick. Playing sound with rhythmbox, exaile, totem or dragon player on the airport express works pretty good, though it is sometimes a little unstable. The only strange thing I notice is that there is a constant data transfer to the AE (approx. 100kb/s) even when no sound is playing. All these applications use or are configured to use gstreamer. Unfortunately mplayer, xine and vlc are not usable as the sound is completely choppy. This is a big issue for me as sound and video output are not in sync when using the AE. But the latter players are the only ones I know were you can adjust the synchronization.
[Bug 457622] Re: Middle mouse button not available on touchpad in Karmic
I added the following line to /etc/sudoers: dirk ALL = NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/synclient where you of course have to exchange dirk with your username. Then you can put synclient RTCornerButton=2 e.g. into your ~/.profile file, and you don't have to worry about entering it every time after startup. -- Middle mouse button not available on touchpad in Karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/457622 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 98783] Re: MASTER: memory leak
I just found a way to easily increase memory consumption for X.org. This works at least on two machines, a desktop and a notebook, with intrepid and KDE 4.2.2. Both machines have a NVidia card (Quatro NVS-290 and GeForce Go 7400) and I tried it with both the nv and the newest nvidia driver with the same result. Open okular with a very big file. Now you can see memory usage of X rising just by scrolling through the document. After going through 200-300 pages X needs around 1GB of memory. Sometimes the memory got released after closing okular but most of the time the amount of memory was just lost. I have tried this with a big djvu and a different pdf file with the same result. Using acroread for the pdf file, no increase in memory consumption can be observed. Hopefully this very annoying bug can be solved soon... -- MASTER: memory leak https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98783 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
