[Bug 733349] Re: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking its Launcher Icon
The problem is the spreading of the windows when clicking twice on an icon. This feature btw i don't like anyway. I would rather like to have Aero-like preview Thumbnails from which i can choose to bring one to the front or close etc. Then we wouldn't have complications with the spread feature, which isn't so efficient anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733349 Title: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking its Launcher Icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/733349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 741603] Re: Window buttons disappear on maximized windows by changing focus to another maximised window on multi-monitor setups
This is IMO one of the biggest problems of Unity! It's a Design and Usability Bug. It should be solved ASAP! It makes the workflow stuck. In Windows, this is a great advantage, you kann close every window, that is seen on the screen, because every window has its own control. A simple alpha solution could be as follows... Imagine a maximized window without focus. and a non-maximized window, which has the focus. Hovering over the top bar will give you this 2 things: 1. The menus of the focussed, non-maximized window (this is also how unity is implemented at the moment) 2. The window controls for the maximized window (this is new) On the first thought, this might be confusing, but on the second it's not bad i think. For sure it's a better solution, than it is right now... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/741603 Title: Window buttons disappear on maximized windows by changing focus to another maximised window on multi-monitor setups To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/741603/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 720424] Re: Can't access maximized window by clicking titlebar
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 716177 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/716177 I think another big problem is, trying to minimize a maximized window while another unmaximzed window has the focus. This case occurs very often and makes the workflow much slower in Ubuntu than in Windows or OS X. E.g.: I have an open and maximized Chromium window in the background, while working in nautilus (has focus). Now i want to minimize chromium. No chance. Titlebar now belongs to nautilus. So one needs first to click somewhere into the area of the maximized window or on the icon of the maximized program in the launcher to access it. But in case of a webbrowser like chromium you then have to be cautious about not clicking a link or whatever that could change the content, what is not wanted. Maybe as a first (and dirty) solution, the window control buttons should be integrated into the title whenever a maximized window is open on this workspace? This could at least give the chance to access the 3 most importent window actions (close, minimize, maximize). And while hovering over these, the title and menus fade to the ones of the maximized window. Maybe this could be a first, dirty solution. Fact is, it (this bug) makes working with Ubuntu much slower, because you always have to check how to access maximized windows, before doing something with them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/720424 Title: Can't access maximized window by clicking titlebar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/720424/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 12893] Re: Shouldn't put .Trash-$USER on removable devices
True. I would at least suggest the way, that everyone can choose to have a trash or not have a trash on removable devices. [Bug 743861] Re: System freezes using Unity on IBM Thinkpad Z60m
I'm having random freezes on my Dell Vostro 1520 as well. I don't think it's a intel-graphics driver problem, as ati and nvidia card users are experiencing this problem as well. hope this will be fixed sooner or later... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743861 Title: System freezes using Unity on IBM Thinkpad Z60m To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/743861/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 778490] Re: Random logout after upgrading to Natty Narwhal 11.04
Full Ack! Has absolutely nothing to do with Chromium or any Browser based on it. As I already wrote, I had a logout after booting normally and only clicking on "Appearance" inside the Dash Menu. Nothing else was started. Stop debugging the Chrome Browser... it's not the cause! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778490 Title: Random logout after upgrading to Natty Narwhal 11.04 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 778490] Re: Random logout after upgrading to Natty Narwhal 11.04
today after i booted up natty 32bit, the look of the panel on the top was grey like in windows 95. then i opened dash and entered appearance. after clicking on appearance, it crashed again and logged me out. This was the shortest time until logout on natty.

[Bug 745112] Re: [arrandale] desktop is messed up (goes black) when laptop is docked with two external 1920x1200 monitors (x86_64)
In Natty 32bit with Unity when I plug in a beamer, the beamer is recognized, and you can see the panel at the top, but not the wallpaper, so the rest is black. Putting windows via drag and drop to the beamers side makes me see the grabbing hand cursor, but not the window itself. Changing Resolution on each screen makes no difference. Making a reboot, or having the beamer plugged in on booting up makes it work, like it did in 10.10 I have Dell Vostro 1520 with an intel video card and the current drivers installed. Anybody has a solution? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/745112 Title: [arrandale] desktop is messed up (goes black) when laptop is docked with two external 1920x1200 monitors (x86_64) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
