Hi Joseph, I just checked in 103, and the issue is gone! ~$ uname -r 3.13.0-103-generic Which is a relief, since 101 did showed the same issue. [Bug 1646868] Re: Installing Kernel 3.13.0-85 (and further versions) distorts video on Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200
Thanks for answering, Joseph. I just have a few kernels installed, 79 was one of those, and the next one is 85. Last time I upgraded the system 101 was installed, so I do not have 103 either. I can install them. Could you please point me to the instructions to do so? I used to compile my own kernel back in the 90's but it's been a long time since I do not do that anymore. Thanks. [Bug 1646868] [NEW] Installing Kernel 3.13.0-85 (and further versions) distorts video on Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200
Public bug reported: The installation of linux-image-3.13.0-85 messed up my video. Re: [Bug 193479] Re: Compiz hides applications
Is it necessary to install HH, or a live CD will do? This is my working machine, and my only one, so I prefer not to play around with it so much. [Bug 193479] [NEW] Compiz hides applications
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz I am running ubuntu gutsy, with compiz version 1:0.6.2+git20071119-0ubuntu1~gutsy1 on a MacBook gen2 (that would mean a Intel 945GM Chipset). Some times, some applications as amarok and kmail would not be visible on the screen. Finding the PID and killing them allows to restart them often, but sometimes that does not even do the trick. I think that they are already running but unable to display because they have a PID and also before logging out of kde, there will be a short screenshot of just those missing applications, showing the actual state of the application (for instance kmail will show recently downloaded mails, and so on). ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Compiz hides applications https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/193479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 109586] Re: Touchpad configuration (ksynaptics) has no (permanent) effect
Nice workaround, francis. I had to drop the ${LINE// /} for $LINE, as it would not read it. Are you sure is the right regexp?, then I had to erase the blanks by hand, so I didn't run the whole file but just the couple of twicks I needed. I also changed the location of the svn.out file to somewhere else in my path, (/homefolder/scripts/) as kde kept opening the file every time it boots. -- Touchpad configuration (ksynaptics) has no (permanent) effect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109586 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for ksynaptics in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
