[Bug 254282] Re: pidgin does not show the last typed line
I can confirm this bug still exists. I've had it from gutsy onwards and it's my main reason for always having 2 tabs open to switch between. -- pidgin does not show the last typed line https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 266990] Re: Kernel 2.6.27-* won't boot on acer aspire 9300
I've seen it before. When it shows this message, press the power button once. Please check if it continues to boot. -- Kernel 2.6.27-* won't boot on acer aspire 9300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/266990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 254668] Re: acpi hangs on boot
I can confirm that this bug is still there. While booting, in the first few seconds (between 0 and 1, according to dmesg) the message of ACPI: EC: non-query interrupt received, switching to interrupt mode is shown. The system appears to hang shortly after and does not respond. When pressing and releasing the power button (like when you turn on a pc) the system continues to boot properly. I've noticed that the sound gets screwed sometimes and i don't remember where, but i've read something about the sound volume wheel being related to this. -- acpi hangs on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254668 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 196341] [NEW] System reboot before login GDM
Public bug reported: DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=7.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=gutsy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 7.10" The bug doesn't seem to be a single package, and if it is, i can't tell which one. I've spend about 6 hours along with several people on the #ubuntu irc channel attempting to fix it, to no avail so far. Installing using the live cd fails. During the loading screen with the orange bar moving left and right it just dies into a reboot without warning. The alternate cd goes a bit further, as it almost completes installation. This goes well untill i get to the part where i have to select resolutions for my screen. If i'm fast i can select resolutions, but it doesn't really matter because only a few seconds after that it reboots. I've manage to get around this particular problem by switching out my geforce card with a radeon card (specs are below). I installed it just fine, so after applying all the updates (did not enable restricted drivers as i was going to switch cards) i switched cards. It then went all wrong. Attempting to use the nvidia restricted drivers did not work, nor did the vesa drivers or nv drivers. This was done by editing the xorg.conf. Using the dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg did start, but also trying to reconfigure using this option did not work. Starting X from recovery mode did work, however only temporary. Logging in did also work, yet only temporary. In both cases the system would go back into reboot again. Booting without the splash and quiet option did not help out as no extra information was gathered. specs: amd athlon 3800 X2 2ghz 2gb ram Asus A8R-MVP Nvidia geforce 8600 GT Ati radeon X1300 at this time i will try Hardy to see if the problem also exists there. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- System reboot before login GDM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196341 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
