I found another error/bugdon't know it is related to this or not:

if directory name contains space and symbol "&" (for example: New &
Old), opening this directory by 'open as root' will pop up an error
message showing "command not found!"

Sorry, typo mistake. The system setting in kubuntu shows 43 Hznot
48Hz.

My laptop support up to 1440x900 screen resolution at 60Hz. It is
running kubuntu 7.04 with Kernel 2.6.20-16.

Please look at the attached xorg.conf for details.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.
