[Bug 740767] Re: gtk-window-decorator crashed with SIGSEGV in gwd_get_decor_frame()
Same problem here and it was fixed with the suggested setting: Compiz Settings Window decoration - Command: /usr/bin/compiz- decorator BTW, I am on Ubuntu classic desktop. [Bug 709709] Re: compiz not working proporly
Installed Natty on the 11th of April and compiz is not working at all. I suspect it is a driver problem, glx extensions do not seem to be running. I have an ATI Radeon 1400 (mobility) and I used to be able to run perfectly compiz since hardy originally with the proprietary driver, lately with the free one. On maverick everything was working fine. There seems to be a number of people with the same or similar problems from this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1706031page=3 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/709709 Title: compiz not working proporly -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 375341] Re: ssh-add/ssh-askpass (gnome) not launching graphical prompt on connect
So, the conclusion is that ssh-askpass will not show if the key is placed in any other location than .ssh ? It seems so, for every key under .ssh (regardless of filename), ssh- askpass launches properly. But if the key is somewhere else ssh-askpass ignores .ssh/config It seems like a bug to me, unless ssh-askpass is supposed not to follow .ssh/config Btw, the behaviour describe here was consistent in: Ubuntu 10.10 - Maverick Meerkat Both 32 and 64 bit -- ssh-add/ssh-askpass (gnome) not launching graphical prompt on connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375341 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 395956] Re: Some Japanese tags appear like question marks, others don't appear at all
I am confirming the bug, I had the same behaviour: Ubuntu 9.04 amarok packages from: Unsupported updates (Jaunty backports) * amarok 2:2.1.1mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu1~jaunty1 *amarok-common 2:2.1.1mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu1~jaunty1 Enabling the unsupported updates (Jaunty backports) caused Amarok to upgrade in version 2.1.1. After the upgrade, more than half of the non latin strings are replaced with question marks. I cannot understand the pattern, the change seems random. All files in the collection have been processed with EasyTAG before importing and they tags were UTF8. The question marks can be seen in every view (e.g. collection, playlist) and in the Edit track details context menu. Further examination showed that this is issue of the amarok database and not the ID3 tags themselves. The tags are perfectly OK (unless you try to edit and save the details of a track). Opening the amarok database with mysql (*) shows that all non latin characters are indeed replaced by question marks in the varchar columns. Rescanning the collection had no effect. Using the perl MP3::Mplib to set the UTF8 header on the tag as suggested by the amarok FAQ, had no effect too. Reverting back to the 2.1 version from the launchpad kubuntu ppa (http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports) and rescanning the collection solves the problem but seems to create a different problem: I found at least one track that was in my playlist during rescanning to now show under a different album of a different artist. Maybe this is a bug and collection should never be rescanned with tracks in the playlist. After repetitive scans the track now shows under the wrong artist/album. This is not as worrying as the fact that I am not sure how many other errors there could be. -- Some Japanese tags appear like question marks, others don't appear at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395956 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 147464] Re: Heavy network activity (eg: torrent/nfs file transfers) causes Hard System Locks and/or Network Freezes.
I think that the problem has been resolved in latest kernel versions. John, I didn't compiled anything. I just used synaptic to install the linux- backports-modules-hardy package and then rebooted. [Bug 258400] [NEW] Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet fails to work as gigabit and works only in 100MBs
Public bug reported: The onboard Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet controler on an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe works only at 100MB/s. I am using Ubuntu Hardy with all the updates installed. This is happening with linux-generic package versions 2.6.24-16 to 2.6.24-19. It still happens with linux-backports-modules-hardy installed. The card with the same switch, cabling, lan etc works normally in Gigabit mode, when I am booting on windows. The switch is D-link DGS 1005D. Using ethtool to tune speed has no effect. Disabling auto negotiation cause the card to fail to connect completely $ sudo ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 The lights on the switch show the card as gigabit momentarily and then switch back to the 100MBps indication. The card works at 100MBps $ sudo ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 autoneg off The card fails to negotiate completely. I can see from the switch that it keeps trying to connect at gigabit speed (lights on for a second and off for three four seconds. ** Affects: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gigabit marvell skge speed ** Summary changed: - Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet fails to work as gigabit and workes only in 100MBs + Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet fails to work as gigabit and works only in 100MBs -- Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet fails to work as gigabit and works only in 100MBs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/258400 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 147464] Re: Heavy network activity (eg: torrent/nfs file transfers) causes Hard System Locks and/or Network Freezes.
I can confirm the same or similar problem. When copying large files over the network (ethernet, cifs mounted share) after a few seconds to a few minutes the system hangs with kernel panic (blinking keyboard lights). This happens all the time and I never managed to copy more than a couple of GBs. I did a copy from the console and managed to get a picture of the panic. Unfortunately shift-pgup was not working so it is not the whole dump.
