[Bug 853865] Re: Multi Monitor: Option to hide unity's top panel on the second monitor

2016-02-07 Thread jens_we
Hi,

ubuntu 15.10

Yes, i have this bug too, i realy would like to use ubuntus default
desktop, but since 5 years this is only half or unfixed

https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/899680

https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/734908

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/748539

i think unfixed due to the point ubunt does not want the user to hide
the top panel on second screen

sorry, but for me this is a blocker, a show stopper as i have to control
the output of my presentation screen.

i belive a simple config option like "show top panel only on first
monitor" as it exist for the site panel could solve this for anybody and
would save livetime of hundred's or thousend's of people facing that
problem and mess around it.

The fix with right-click - stay always on top is not enough, and i'm not
happy after working a half year with unity that i have to use a diffrent
desktop like lxde, cinamon, mate or what ever - caused by such a small
thing that should have fixed five years ago.

[Bug 1142086] [NEW] update fails on lucid to precise - xubuntu - many errors

2013-03-03 Thread jens_we
Public bug reported:

i'm trying to upgrade lucid xubuntu to precise and comming from bug 990740

since i've a virtual maschine i can easy revert to a running state
(snapshot)

Things i tried:

first via ssh console, than on system console
apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade -y --force-yes ; apt-get dist-upgrade -y
do-release-upgrade

leaves me in non-bootable state (Grub entry is 10.04 but not found...)

i've also tried things mentiond in bug 990740 but it did not help.

so i tried from xfce with update-manager gui and
apt-get -f install after update-manager fails with many errors

apt-get -f install fixes a lot, but leaves that problem:

 Hi

a new installation for my 17 Touchscreen iiyama T1730S

due to the lack of a cd-rom i've used Ubuntu 9.04 netbook remix usb-

[Bug 369280] [NEW] input.x11_options.SwapY type=string 1 not bool true in fdi

2009-04-29 Thread jens_we
Public bug reported:

To do a swap axis

Some missunderstandings in documentation
http://www.conan.de/touchscreen/evtouch.html it says

SwapX and SwapY
This option is in the driver since V0.61. When set to 1 the X-axis is swapped.
This option is applied BEFORE the rotation-option.

false -- no swapping

but merge key=input.x11_options.swapy type=booltrue/merge is
wrong and did not work,

Works fine for me:

merge key=input.x11_options.SwapY type=string1/merge

i saw many people out there having the wrong config - (and of course)
trouble with swapx or swapy in xf86-input-evtouch

so allowing both configuration will help many people
