[Bug 1247219] Re: XaraLX does not start
Can confirm that I'm also getting this exact same error on 14.04. This was also present in Ubuntu 13.10 when I tried to run Xara then too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247219 Title: XaraLX does not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xaralx/+bug/1247219/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 202684] [NEW] Amarok crashes after one track when using ALSA output device other than default
Public bug reported: When I change the ALSA device to plughw:0,0 or plughw:1,0 from default (mono & stereo only, I leave the 4&6 channel ones as-is), amarok plays through the correct device at first (for one track only), however when the track is changed a message about xine not being able to init drivers appears (even though nothing else is using the device) and then amarok crashes. I have been able to replicate this consistently and can not find another way to get amarok to play out a different audio device. ** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Amarok crashes after one track when using ALSA output device other than default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 157772] Weird volume control playing specific WAV file
Public bug reported: When I attempt to playback this particular WAV file (either on disk, or streaming), the volume control goes completely wrong. If it is at 100% it is fine however anything less (excluding 0% which mutes fine) makes the music distort and makes it louder. The WAV file is here: http://www.mjq.net/fiveo/50theme.wav and I have tested this on Amarok and Kaffeine with the same results, however MPlayer and VLC play the file fine. Also hovering over the file in Konqueror for an audio preview (presumably because it is playing at 100% volume). [Bug 85370] Re: amd64: Random system hangs and mouse issues with 6.10 (cpufreq related?)
OK, I disabled powernowd then repeatedly ran 3D screensavers and it still crashed. Only did it once though. Next I'm going to use the open- source nvidia driver instead of the proprietary one and see if that fixes the issue (as that will disable 3d). I also have this problem, tends to freeze when certain high process load tasks (like 3D-stuff but not ripping a CD) and sometimes I just click something and it happens randomly. [Bug 17763] Re: Random Freezes
I used to have the same sort of issue before I passed the irqpoll to the kernel (at bootup). Now it stills crashes randomly (When playing an MPG in Kaffiene it plays for a couple of seconds then system freezes). I have no idea what causes is it but I am an AMD64 user with an NVIDIDA graphics card (with NVIDIA binary driver). Also I don't think it's anything to do with high CPU usage as I regularly rip off CD's (takes up 100% CPU) and it doesn't crash. -- Random Freezes https://launchpad.net/bugs/17763 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 64841] Re: wireless assisant does not connect in edgy
I think I may have found the cause of the wlassistant not working in Edgy. I have noticed the same problem as well, but I didn't use wlassistant to configure my connection. I just edited the /etc/network/interfaces file so the wifi part reads: auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet dhcp wireless-essid -- wireless-key -- This worked just fine in Dapper, however when I booted in Edgy, although my wifi device was detected, it did not connect to the network. However, when I reboot and use the Dapper kernel, wifi works just fine. This would suggest the problems with the kernel and not with wlassistant. Hope this helps in resolving this bug! -- wireless assisant does not connect in edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/64841 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
