[Bug 1579712] Re: Refresh hangs indefinitely, appstreamcli using 100% CPU
For some reason Kubuntu users seems able to run 'Update Manager' without the 100% CPU issue. Same problem with ATI card. Todays upgrade of Xorg rendered my screen resolution (normally 1680x1050) to 1400x1050. No way to reset it - as far as I can find. [Bug 575402] Re: MSI Wind U100 with RALINK RT2860 wireless adapter will not connect to WPA or WPA2 encrypted networks
Same problem here. Medion Akoya (MSI-Wind clone?) with Ralink RT2860STA. Upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 broke wireless (Bad Password - which it is not). Same with a fresh install. Tried all i386 versions (Ubuntu + Netbook remix, Kubuntu + Netbook Remix) with no succes. Tried both network-manager and wicd - same result: "Bad Password"). [Bug 540070] Re: wicd connect to wpa2 wireless network bad password
The procedure described above in #9 worked flawlessly for me. The upgrade - followed by re-install x3 - broke my wireless completely, wicd as well as network-manager. Everything appeared OK undtil I tried to connect via WPA personal. Then it kept going like this: "Bad password" (it wasn't). My network was visible enough, but no go. I tried several laptops (Medion Akoyas) with RT2860STA cards - without ever getting them to connect. (Bad password). I even tried to install Kubuntu, Kubuntu Netbook Remix, vanilla Gnome and Gnome Netbook Remix - all failed to connect. After the downgrade to karmic all is well with wicd.
