[Bug 553687] Re: [Dell XPS m1330] [Lucid lynx] [regression] Suspend and hibernate not working
After reinstalling Ubuntu Lucid from scratch, suspend and hibernation work as expected. Hibernation was not working because I had no swap space, but suspend was broken by the update. [Bug 95853] Re: Add an option to get a confirmation dialog before deleting files in Nautilus
I think this should be on by default... and I still do not see the point of NOT asking novice users if they are sure to delete a document... It is the one of the most dangerous thing you can do on a computer. You removed control+Alt+backspace behaviour (which is great to remove it) and I think we should do the same with delete without asking, specially when coming from the keyboard. -- Add an option to get a confirmation dialog before deleting files in Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 373725] [NEW] Missing dependencies and missbehaviour
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apertium-tolk Hi, I just tried apertium-tolk, in Ubuntu 9.04... I think it is great since it is the first desktop translator for linux if I am not wrong... However it did not work very well for me. First I think it should have all the apertium files and dictionaries as dependencies (they are not so big anyway)... In this way it would be installing this application and seeing all the options immediately. As it is now it is not easy to guess that you need the apertium engine and dictionaries to make it work, and it looks broken out of the box since it cannot do anything. Apart from that, it seemed to translate dinamically the first two words (Hola, buenos días, with es-ca) and then stopped working. Maybe it is better not to translate anything dynamically and simply put a button that says translate. I know that the engine already works very well. Notice this application is accessible from the general program menu (apart than from synaptic) of the most popular linux distribution so it has a lot of visibility. It is important to put something simple, but that works and shows that apertium really translates properly. Simple, easy to use and working properly, that is the most important thing. Thanks :) ** Affects: apertium-tolk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Missing dependencies and missbehaviour https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373725 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 196277] Re: A GNOME login without keypress dosn't set GNOME keyboard settings
I suppose there is somehow a good reason that makes this bug not fixable easily in 8.04. If you have bought the right support for Ubuntu, probably you can get an special build just for you with the fix you are requesting. If you have not, you can try to convince or to understand why it is so hard or so important to fix in 8.04, doing some research before, or at least trying to be nice. I am not saying that you are not being nice, I am just saying that we should be nice while asking for free support. Otherwise we can just pay, and ask for specialized support. [Bug 240596] [NEW] Issues with Catalan localization
Public bug reported: I recently installed Ubuntu 8.04 from scratch and every time I reinstall it (on different machines) happens the same, so I am pretty sure this is a bug. It may affect other languages that might not be included on the CD or similar. After choosing Catalan in the installation, my system boots up and my system is half in English, half in Catalan. After upgrading the thing remains to be the same. For instance: - Firefox is in English. - Gnome title menus are in English: Applications, Places, System - However contents of those menus are in Catalan: Accessoris, Gràfics, Jocs, Oficina, If I go to System, Administration, Language Support I can rechoose Catalan, and everything will be fine. However this should be done by itself since the user has already specified the language. I suspect that Catalan language does not fit completely in the installation CD, but in the first upgrade the system should update completely all these packages. This can make the system unusable for many people who do not speak english. As I said this may occur with all languages excepting the biggest ones. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Issues with Catalan localization https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240596 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
