[Bug 131590] Re: Color Scheme not properly applied in Konqueror and KSystemLog
IMHO this is a bug. And it reduces the usability of the KDE GUI. I want to emphasize that I did not play with fancy user defined colors. I just changed to the predefined color scheme "DarkBlue", and then a few things become unreadable. To me it's as simple as that and very unpleasant. Not to speak of the problems with Konqueror not coping with the dark color scheme, displaying webpages with black text on dark blue background, etc. Technically it is possible to calculate a constrast value between foreground and background. Using this value the Graphical User Interface KDE could switch the foreground color to a more contrasting color automaticly. Even if it should not be looking beautiful, it would be grant readability. -- Color Scheme not properly applied in Konqueror and KSystemLog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131590 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Something is wrong with the hot-swap bay notify handler for the Thinkpad Ultrabay Slim. The two ACPI drivers seem not to cooperate well. Auto-mount doesn't work, when inserting a PATA IDE HDD in the UltraBay . Manually mounting / unmounting and then simply pulling out the HDD from the hotswap Ultrabay was working so far without data loss. (Manual hdparm -Y didn't effectively switch of HDD.) ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Ubuntu Kernel ACPI Team (ubuntu-kernel-acpi) Status: New -- ACPI: Error installing bay notify handler - Thinkpad T42p https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163392 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 126077] Re: Ultrabay Hotswapping is not working
Where can one find this fix? Reproduced this bug with Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, all updates, on a) a Thinkpad T42p 2373-KYG updated online from Feisty (no errors) and b) a Thinkpad T42p 2373-7XU fresh install from CD on a zeroed HDD ** Attachment added: "bugrpt-TP42p-2373-KYG.zip" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10178892/bugrpt-TP42p-2373-KYG.zip -- Ultrabay Hotswapping is not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126077 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 134460] KMail / Kontact Mail List Navigation incomplete (PageUp not working)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim Kontact Mail / KMail 1.2.5 under KDE 3.5.7 in Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn: In the mail list view, with one line/mail selected the keys PageUp, PageDown, Home and End have no effect at all. ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KMail / Kontact Mail List Navigation incomplete (PageUp not working) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 50039] Re: [Data Loss] KMail mysteriously changes messages to "No Subject", "Unknown" sender
I can confirm this bug in KMail / Kontact 1.2.5 / KDE 3.5.7: Messages get lost by clicking on them in the list and turn to zombies with "Unknown" sender, "No Subject", and a date of 1970-1-1. There are about 2000+ messages in the list and I did not do anything special to the list of messages. Just deleted a few. Data loss seems to be permanent, restarting Kontakt does not help. see also KDE Bug Tracker from the link in the previous comment: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80988 -- [Data Loss] KMail mysteriously changes messages to "No Subject", "Unknown" sender https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/50039 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 131590] Re: Color Scheme not properly applied in Konqueror and KSystemLog
I found a cumbersome workaround for Konqueror: under View-Configure Backround set BLACK (menu item only visible in File View mode) and under Settings-Configure Konqueror- Appearance - Set normal text color - WHITE For KSystemLog the colors are always wrong. ** Description changed: - Kubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn, KDE 3.5.6 + Kubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn, KDE 3.5.6 and KDE 3.5.7 + also Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Tribe 3 + When setting a color scheme with white text on dark background, e.g. DarkBlue, the list view display in Konqueror and KSystemLog are unreadalbe, because of the alternate line colors and text color do not match the color scheme, i.e. the text color is still black. How to reproduce it: - Set DarkBlue color scheme in System Settings > Appearence > Colors - Konqueror in File View > View > View Mode > Detailed List View - or simply open KSystemLog Besides; The contrast slider in System Settings > Appearence > Colors has no effect on the colors in these these list views. + kde-hal-device-manger does show correct (and readable) colors in its list view, + also the standard KDE File Open Dialog shows the correct colors in list view. -- Color Scheme not properly applied in Konqueror and KSystemLog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131590 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88377] Re: Suspend to disk fails: image_size too small
I can confirm this bug on a Thinkpad T42p 2373-KYG on Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn, uname -r: 2.6.20-16-386; with ATI driver 8.38.7 (installed via Envy) Reducing the image_size does make supend-to-disk work. But after resuming form supsend-to-disk, the sound is gone and it seems to me that the available RAM is not used any more: I mean the systems starts swapping earlier compared to RAM/Swap usage after a fresh reboot. --- some log info: from kern.log: [ 6462.836000] agpgart-intel :00:00.0: LATE freeze [ 6462.836000] swsusp: critical section: [ 6462.836000] swsusp: Need to copy 132408 pages [ 6462.836000] swsusp: Normal pages needed: 122609 + 1024 + 24, available pages: 106765 [ 6462.836000] swsusp: Not enough free memory [ 6462.836000] Error -12 suspending [ 6462.836000] agpgart-intel :00:00.0: EARLY resume - - - - - # cat /sys/power/image_size 524288000 # swapon -s FilenameTypeSizeUsedPriority /dev/sda8 partition 3004112 0 -1 # free total used free sharedbuffers cached Mem: 1035364 471764 563600 0 38076 278160 -/+ buffers/cache: 155528 879836 Swap: 3004112 03004112 - - - - - -- Suspend to disk fails: image_size too small https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/88377 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
