[Bug 1932980] Re: window title in mate terminal not change after I logout from ssh

2021-06-21 Thread Mas Drajat
At first post, I connect to Centos 7 with version 7.4p1.

Now, I try to test like you do.

1st, I logged into Debian 10.10 server via ssh with version
1:7.9p1-10+deb10u2. After that I log out, and my Window terminal isn't
change.

2nd, I login into Centos 7 server use same terminal with 1st login, the
window title change to new title via ssh with version 7.4p1. After I log
out, the window title still use 2nd @ (Centos7).

configuration about $PS1 is so impactly with my problem?

[Bug 1814355] [NEW] snapd remove /usr/local/bin from the PATH for all systemd unit

2019-02-01 Thread E. MAS
Public bug reported:

Big regression in 2.37.1+18.04 compare to version 2.34.2

all these paths /usr/local/sbin & /usr/local/bin are not anymore in
the path of all systemd process .

So we can not start a daemon that use /usr/local/bin

reinstalling package 2.34.2 fix the problem

in 2.34.2 :

~# strings /proc/$(pidof /lib/systemd/systemd-resolved)/environ | grep PATH
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin

in 2.37.1+18.04 :

~# strings /proc/$(pidof /lib/systemd/systemd-resolved)/environ | grep PATH
PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/snap/bin

[Bug 1154740] Re: Incorrect "Incorrect answer" message in parallel / meridian question

2014-07-12 Thread Jordi Mas
Thanks Simon

In your first comment, you say

"A meridian is a line of constant longitude passing between the poles
and through a given place on the earth's surface. That is, meridians
traverse from east to west like the lines of longitude. "

See:
http://www.firefightermath.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=61&Itemid=75

"Longitude lines (called meridians) run north and south and circle the
planet from pole to pole."

Or: http://www.rmg.co.uk/explore/astronomy-and-time/astronomy-
facts/history/the-prime-meridian-at-greenwich

"A meridian is a north-south line selected as the zero reference line
for astronomical observations. "

Based on this the proposal in your last comment is incorrect. Let me
know your thoughts. Feel free to propose a new improved sentence.

Jordi,

[Bug 1313726] Re: irrelevant shutdown menu at login screen

2014-05-26 Thread Jean Louis Mas
You're quite right !

This was a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 install except for the LDAP conf which was
modified following an ubuntu 12.04 guideline and it happens to modify
the /etc/pam.d/common-session

My mistake, I have missed the shift from upstart to systemd in the
14.04.

I have done a :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure libpam-ldapd libnss-ldapd nslcd ldap-auth-config

And the shutdown menu work as expected.

I there anything I an do to close the bug ?

Re: [Bug 1313726] Re: irrelevant shutdown menu at login screen

2014-04-29 Thread Jean Louis Mas
As it's a virtual machine (VirtualBox 4.3.10), I can't do that. I
through that ubuntu-bug would mention the computer was virtualized.

Is there a way to do the same in command line, as the computer isn't
locked ?

[Bug 1182693] Re: [French translation] untranslated strings

2013-05-26 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
It is simple, take the string "get help with using chromium" which isn't
translated in 25.0.1364.160-0ubuntu3. This string doesn't exist in any
Launchpad translatable things here
(https://translations.launchpad.net/chromium-browser/translations/+lang/fr).
But this string is translated here
(https://code.google.com/p/chromium/codesearch#chromium/src/chrome/app/resources/chromium_strings_fr.xtb&sq=package:chromium&type=cs)
line 96.

So I ask myself, is the Chromium project of having translation done in
Launchpad stile active... Also when you look at the answer the Chromium guy
gave me (see link in first post), you ask yourself about maybe a problem only
linked to Ubuntu since the strings are translated in Win..., problem of version
of Chromium? This should be seen in daily ppa, if it is translated, someone can
look at it?
For example the string "About Chromium" which isn't translated in the
25.0.1364.160-0ubuntu3 has been translated since 2010 in Launchpad...

I don't know if we have found the reason yet, I think we may be far from
it

[Bug 1073397] Re: unityLoaded never gets called

2013-05-21 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
@Jean-Luc Thirion (jlinho)

Thank for your answer. If it only work when the website is open, I have
dificulties to understand what is the purpose of it. Why see the number of
unread email in the launcher when I can see it directly on the page.
The real solution is then to make the gmail webapp using kind of the same code
as unity-Mail. Just adding the posibility of installing it when first logging
to a gmail account.

Webapps will be realy usefull when they will do this work and have the
normal ubuntu notification.

Thank you for your answer.

[Bug 1073397] Re: unityLoaded never gets called

2013-05-16 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
The patch only works for me if I use Firefox and if gmail.com is open. I
use Chromium and I don't see the use of having a launcher count emails
only if I can see them direcly. I used Jean-Luc Thirion (jlinho) patch.

Thank you if you have any idea, maybe someting should be changed in
dconf ? I folowed the code lines of Jean-Luc Thirion (jlinho).

[Bug 1175011] [NEW] problems of ":" - French

2013-04-30 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 13.04
Release:13.04

2/
unity:
  Installé : 7.0.0daily13.04.18~13.04-0ubuntu1

When doing a right click on something in a Lens, you find the description of
it, either it is a paquage, a picture, a movie... The problem is that the words
are translated but there is no space between the last letter and the ":"; when
there should be in French.
In Launchpad we should be able to translate "size:" instead of "size" for
example. It is a pity that this basic thing isn't possible in basic Ubuntu
paquages. Ubuntu should be entirely and correcly translated in all major
languages.

This bug appears to be linked to all lenses via "Unity.InfoHint.new"

Thanks for your work.

[Bug 1175004] [NEW] Missing language paquage when installing Texmaker

2013-04-30 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
Public bug reported:

1/
Description:Ubuntu 13.04
Release:13.04

2/
texmaker:
  Installé : 3.4-1
  Candidat : 3.4-1

3/
In Ubuntu languages I have two languages : French (first) then English (US). I
expected the installer to install all the required paquages to support both
languages (i.e. texlive-lang-french)

4/
Instead after seeing an error line
(/usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/generic/babel/frenchb.ldf:0: No hyphenation
patterns were loaded for(babel) the language `French'(babel) I will use the
patterns loaded for \language=0 instead.) while creating my first Latex file, I
had to surf the web, find some forums and then open the terminal and install
texlive-lang-french. Ubuntu should be easy and so this should be done when
intalling TexMaker by looking at used languages on the system.

Thank you

[Bug 1121784] [NEW] Website doesn't show the normal way to install Skype

2013-02-10 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
Public bug reported:

The website should show first the best way to install skype (i.e. by the
Canonical Partner Repository) and show the .deb solution as an alternative that
should be tried if the first didn't work.
Also it would alow to show that Skype works in Ubuntu 12.10 not only 12.04 and
10.04.

[Bug 1100143] [NEW] No easy way to change the language in a libreoffice impress

2013-01-15 Thread Hélion du Mas des Bourboux
Public bug reported:

In a presentation, there is no easy way to change the language of the
all presentation. No way to do it as in a Writer (at the bottom). The
only way I found was to select everything in the plan vue, to go to
format and caractère (Which is very long and has to be done again for
every word). In tools/languages, nothing to click appart from "find a
dictionnary online".

I am using libreoffice 3.6.2.2 on Ubuntu 12.10
I have French and English installed on my laptop, and the correction for both
languages works well on Libreoffice Writter.

[Bug 1051716] Re: Grammatical and Spelling erors...

2012-09-16 Thread Jordi Mas
Hello,

Regarding updating to the latest version may be possible but is not
straight forward due how to software is packed and distributed.

Probably the best approach is to play the old version, check in the
string file is the errors are still there, and report the ones that are
still incorrect or you have questions.

Thanks,

Jordi,

[Bug 921385] Re: There should exist a quality management in developement, that confirms the correctnes of the solutions.

2012-01-25 Thread Jordi Mas
Thanks for the bug report

This is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gbrainy/+bug/881156

This was fixed in October 2010

There is a pending request to Ubuntu since 1st of Novembre 2011:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gbrainy/+bug/884895

Requesting them to upgrade gbrainy from 2.03 to 2.06 that fixes this and
other issues.

They had made some progress and lots that soon will be distributed to
all users.

Thanks,

Jordi,

[Bug 884895] Re: Update gbrainy 2.03 in Ubuntu 11.10 to 2.05

2011-11-02 Thread Jordi Mas
Comment on the impact:

#881156 -> A logic game does not accept valid answers in 33% of the cases
#662041 -> A logic game does not accept the valid answer in 12.5% of the cases
#661307 -> In PuzzleBuildTriangle, the valid answer is not accepted (20% of the
cases)
#663188 -> In English language, in this logic game, 1 of the 4 options of this
multioption games appears unreadable

This translates in a bad user experience and complaints from the users
via e-mails, bug reports, and forums.

Thanks,

Jordi,

[Bug 570146] Re: localization not complete?

2011-11-02 Thread Jordi Mas
Hi,

The perfect solution will be that somebody completes the Polish
translation.

Since gbrainy 2.0 when a translation is less than 80% you give a
warning message and you can now switch to English in the preferences.

Regards,

Jordi,
