[Bug 62308] Re: Permission Denied on nfs clients for only some files
Seems rather strange here as well. I migrated a few user homes to a newly set up Edgy server running the 2.6.17-10 generic kernel. The first two users were quite happy, the third had the Permission Denied error, then I switched back to the Dapper kernel. All three users use KDE and nfs mounted their homes on Dapper clients. When checking the third users home directory on the server, the Permission-Denied-files did not exist. When comparing the contents of the directories, the only strange thing was that the third user had made a backup of all his dot-files in an extra directory. Very odd. [Bug 131130] Re: Wireless LED driven by fsam7400 module goes off unexpectedly
I just found this bug report. I upgraded my Amilo M7400 from Feisty to Gutsy and tried to clear out all quirks which I had used before. I guess that the fsam7400 and acerhk modules have been superseded by module wistron_btns. At least on my machine the wireless led and button work reliably after modprobing wistron_btns. -- Wireless LED driven by fsam7400 module goes off unexpectedly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131130 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 40189] Re: autofs needs to be restarted to pick up Windows XP shares
Similar here with Gutsy (Edubuntu). I try to setup autofs with automount maps in LDAP and NetworkManager uninstalled. My guess is that autofs gets started before slapd, can not find the maps and decides nothing to do. A simple update-rc.d -f autofs remove update-rc.d autofs defaults 20 For me it works. The changelog, however, states that autofs start was lowered to level 19 instead of level 20 (somewhen in 2005) because of other daemons relying on it. -- autofs needs to be restarted to pick up Windows XP shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/40189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 51315] Re: udevd: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP server
Same here with Gutsy: I try to work as local user on a client with libnss-ldap installed while the server is down. It just does not work. Perhaps the following observations are helpful. 1) Server running slapd, bind9 : client boot : yes 2) server running bind9 only : client boot : yes 3) server running : client boot : yes 4) server running, networking stopped : client boot : no I really doublechecked for running processes and state of interface on the server. Above behaviour is reproducible. It seems libnss-ldap disregards the sequences given in nsswitch.conf when the server cannot be reached at all. [Bug 154070] Re: Home Phone and Other Phone duplicated
Communication with an exchange server is also affected by this bug. When I work online and add a new contact with a home or business phone number it immediately shows up with other phone added. When I delete the other phone on the server using the web interface I lose one additional phone number in what evolution displays. Preference is to swallow business numbers first.
