I don't now, if there is a connection, but i commented out the lines in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules After a reboot (the new lines in 70-persistent-cd.rules are same as the commented), i wrote 2 dvd (one dvd-rw, one dvd-r) without error. So... don't realy now, what happend, but if you gets the same error, you may try... Attached the output of dmesg. Sometimes dmesg mention somting else, like ,limiting speed to UDMA/66'. I didnt care if UDMA/100 or 66 is used, but it didnt use eighter. It realy slow, it seams there is no dma at all. sorry i forgot: it was an up to date Hardy as server the clients: - another hardy with X -query and Xnest: both ok now. - debian 4.0 with X -query and Xvnc4: both ok now. - some Wyse thin client with a linux (unknown version) they are not working yet. the wyse clients not work with kdm eighter. They can connect and login to xdm, but there is problem with keyboard configuration. (cant change us-hu) the same clients with an older gdm on the debian works fine.
