[Bug 1504404] [NEW] Imported image got black

2015-10-08 Thread omvsj
Public bug reported:

Mint 17.2
LibO 5.0.2 from PPA

When I try to Insert -> Image, select a file, (if activated Preview it
shows correctly) and then Insert, I only get a Black Box in big images
(2.9 mb)

It also happens if I try to Copy & Paste or Dragging

I tried with LibO 4.4.3 rc2 from Mint 17.2 and I got the same results
inserting, copying or dragging: a Black Box.

Re: [Bug 1162581] Re: CardReader not recognized Gateway NE46R06m

2013-04-04 Thread omvsj
I downloaded and installed:

linux-headers-3.9.0-030900rc5_3.9.0-030900rc5.201303311835_all.deb
linux-headers-3.9.0-030900rc5-generic_3.9.0-030900rc5.201303311835_amd64.deb

linux-image-extra-3.9.0-030900rc5-generic_3.9.0-030900rc5.201303311835_amd64.deb

Now, default system administration disk utility shows:
4,1 GB de unidad Memory Stick
Dispositivo: /dev/mspblk0
Particionado: sin particionar (no partition)

Volùmenes: Desconocido (unkown)

I tried reformating MBR but it cannot format it. Error:
Error al formatear la unidad (error formating drive)
Ocurrió un error al realizar una operación en 4,1 GB de unidad Memory Stick
(); Falló la operación (there was an error trying to format... Operation failed)
Details: Error creating partition table: timeout (10s) waiting for change

So... kernel recognize there's something called Memory Stick but it
can't read it or format it.

I guess I should tag this bug as: kernel-bug-exists-upstream and
Confirmed

to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.9 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both
the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot,
please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
Confirmed.

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 881648] Re: ConfigureNotify mismatch during unity --reset

2012-03-15 Thread omvsj
From time to time, Unity dissappear leaving only the background image.
Sometimes it 'comes back' with all open documents and bars, without
losing them. When it don't happen, I use Ctrl+Alt+F2 and I do a unity
--reset. I get almost same error:

compiz (core) – Warn: not exact match for ConfigureNotify 0x1200092!
compiz (core) – Warn: expected the following changes:
compiz (core) – Warn: sibling 0x4399a9
compiz (core) – Warn: instead got:

compiz (core) – Warn: y: 0
compiz (core) – Warn: width: 1366
compiz (core) – Warn: height: 768
compiz (core) – Warn: above: 0
compiz (core) – Warn: this should never happen. you should probably file a bug
about this.
compiz (core) – Warn: failed to receive ConfigureNotify event on 0x2a5

Althought this error, Unity comes back, again with all open documents,
windows and bars and I can work again.

[Bug 842566] Re: Libreoffice and unity integration broken.

2012-02-21 Thread omvsj
It happened again.
Ubuntu 11.10 up-to-date
LibO 3.4.5 1:3.4.5-0ubuntu1~ppa1
bamfdaemon 0.2.104-0ubuntu1.1

1) Make a NewDocument.odt using the Master template (Normal.ott); save it and
close it.
2) Modify the master template; save it and close it
3) Re-open de NewDocument.odt.
- LibO shows a dialog asking to update the document and Unity shows the
generic white icon with 2 arrows.
- Click update or don't update and LibO will close the dialog and shows the
document which remains with the white icon

2012-02-21 Thread omvsj
In step 3) you have to wait for the icon to appear:
- At the very begining, the dialog opens without showing icons on Unity. If you
click update before the white icon appears, the document will open and Unity
will show the right icon.
- If you wait for the White icon to show and then you click on update, the
document will open and the White icon remains

[Bug 842566] Re: Libreoffice and unity integration broken.

2012-02-03 Thread omvsj
I did various tests, installing, opening different types of documents
(not only open documents), unistalling, reinstalling and so...

1) Removing from command line works fine (force version in Synaptic is a pain
and didn't work).
2) Ppa's solution works for icons on Launcher.

Is Bamf responsible for the integration of LibO menu in Unity menu? I
couldn't figure it out at what point LibO menu stop integrating to Unity
menu.

2012-02-03 Thread omvsj
@Mario S. (sm666): I tested it, with and without ppa's fix and it make
no difference:

- Without ppa's fix and Logo=0 or 1 there's a misbehavior of icons on Launcher
- With ppa's fix and Logo=1 or 0 icons show correctly.

[Bug 842566] Re: Libreoffice and unity integration broken.

2012-02-01 Thread omvsj
I've just add the ppa:mjuhasz/backports, update bamf (and 2 more files
like libbamf or something), remove ppa:mjuhasz/backports, reboot and it
didn't work. Did I miss something?

I couldn't use force version in Synaptic to go back to previous
versions. It was a pain to remove the ppa's versions. I had to remove
each file individually with other dependencies (unity and other), and
then install original versions.

[Bug 562963] [NEW] CDRom label truncated before UTF8 character

2010-04-14 Thread omvsj
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I have some CD's with labels with UTF8 characters. When I insert them, the
names are truncated like this:
- El niño - El ni
- El beso de la mujer araña - El beso de la mujer ara
- Carácter - Car
- Ángeles - DVD+R

If I copy the disc with Brasero, label is preserved correctly on copied
disc but Nautilus truncated it as mentioned.

[Bug 492034] Re: [STAGING] realtek rtl8192su chipset based USB wireless devices fail to work

2010-02-24 Thread omvsj
Hi, I'm using:
- Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit
- Kernel 2.6.31-19
- USB Wireless adapter AirLink 101 - Golden N, adpater, model AWLL 6075, which
uses rtl8192su chipset, recognized by lsusb as:
Bus 001 Device 010: ID 0bda:8172 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.

And it doesn't work. nm-applet says El dispositivo no está listo (Device is
not ready -translated by me).
I downloaded and installed kernels 2.6.32 and 33 and they neither work. I did
some tests and my system freezes too, with the Caps blinking thing.

On a HP tx1220us, Karmic, you can't access important settings through
Volume Control GUI (like ATAPI MIC). Instead you need to use alsamixer
from a command line terminal:

% alsamixer -V all

Hope it helps...

[Bug 389509] [NEW] OOo3 Sun Professional Template Pack - Spanish don't work

2009-06-19 Thread omvsj
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Sorry if this bug is duplicated
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/+bug/385467). Don't know exactly
where to file it.
Hope this time I did correctly ;)
---
I have Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex up to date with OOo 1:3.1.0-3ubuntu2~intrepid1
installed from here.

I've downloaded and installed Sun Professional Template Pack - Spanish
1.0 from OpenOffice's site. I can see it is installed in Extension
manager's window but the templates don't show up in File - New -
Templates and Documents window.

I've checked ~/.openoffice.org/3/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages
and there is the extension with all the templates.

I've installed also this Template Pack in Windows XP on a OOo 3.1
installation. Templates show up in the right place and work nicely.

Thanks for your time and effort

Re: [Bug 255681] Re: Intrepid, Firefox crashes when viewing Java applets. Segmatation fault core dumped.

2009-04-15 Thread omvsj

I'm not a programmer or an expert but just a newbie Ubuntu user.

What I did to get rid of this problem was:
1) Add a Debian repository (deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian sid main
non-free) and uncheck any other repository
2) Reload the software list
3) Uninstall every version of java installed and the web plugins (cacao,
icedtea, java, etc)
4) Install sun-java6-bin (6-12-1)
5) remove the Debian repository and check again the standard repositories
6) Voilá, Firefox is runing java applets without crashing

Hopes it helps
Oscar

[Bug 273693] Re: biarch alsa-lib path problem with Skype

2008-10-12 Thread omvsj
I have Intrepid amd64 up-to-date and Skype form Medibuntu.
Alsa-base 1.0.17.dfsg-2ubuntu1. There is no alsa-lib package in the
repositories.
Skype runs but no sound.

# ldconfig
# ldconfig -v | grep alsa
/usr/lib32/alsa-lib:
/usr/lib/alsa-lib:
libalsatoss.so.0 - libalsatoss.so.0.0.0

1) Changed Default device to pulse, in Skype options: it has sound
but no capture

2) Dimitry's workaround 1: everything's right on Skype, but if there's a
call in progress, no other application can take control of the sound
sink, or mix the sound. Or vice-versa, if other application is playing a
sound, Skype can't use the sound sink.

3) Dimitry's workaround 2 (with its variants: alsa*.conf): sound but no
capture. Here's the output of ldconfig:
# ldconfig
# ldconfig -v | grep alsa
/sbin/ldconfig.real: Ruta '/usr/lib32/alsa-lib' establecida más de una vez
/sbin/ldconfig.real: Ruta '/usr/lib/alsa-lib' establecida más de una vez
/usr/lib/alsa-lib:
/usr/lib32/alsa-lib:
libalsatoss.so.0 - libalsatoss.so.0.0.0
(I have the spanish version. It says something like: /sbin/ldconfig.Real:
Path xxx is set more tan once)

Hope this is helpfull for you.
