[Bug 1050233] Re: Unity crashes on on opeing the dashboard randomly

2012-09-17 Thread primefalcon
There's no crash file in that location. doesn't matter anyhow
anymore for me

Just just set up a script that keeps an eye open to see if unity is
still running or not, and if it isn't to restart so this bug
doesn't affect me anymore

Removing myself from list

[Bug 1026320] [NEW] Application lens not launching on log in

2012-07-18 Thread primefalcon
Public bug reported:

Ok I have an issue with the application lens in Unity...

Most of the time the applications refuses to start when Ubuntu boots,
which means no application searching...

doing a "unity --replace" fixes the issue until shutdown... so I created
a script that runs unity --replace on boot... however when unity starts
back up from the script, no launcher, no system tray at the top or
anything loads...

Does anyone have an idea on either

a) what's going on with the script or
b) how to fix the application lens so none of this is an issue...

[Bug 861009] Re: zsnes crashed on opening (will not open, instead crashes unity launcher))

2012-02-12 Thread primefalcon
the temporary solution I am using is I opened it and have the settings
how they need to be to open. run the following to stop any
configuration changes being made (note you mus be in your ~/.zsnes
folder

sudo chown root zsnesl.cfg; sudo chmod a-w zsnesl.cfg; sudo chattr +i
zsnesl.cfg

this will lock it into opening how you last opened it...

note: on first open when your setting your preferences (before you lock
it down), navigate to your roms folder so it will open there from now on

[Bug 372588] Re: sudo crontab -e uses wrong vi version

2009-08-05 Thread primefalcon
Add

EDITOR=vim

to the bottom of your .bashrc file, which is located in your home
directory. That should fix the issue after you reboot

To save you rebooting, the following command in the terminal will make
this functional as of now

export EDITOR=vim

sudo crontab -e uses wrong vi version

[Bug 316549] [NEW] Pidgin Won't install

2009-01-12 Thread primefalcon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libpurple0

On trying to install pidgin I got an error about not being able to
install it because of libpurple0. So I tried to install this separately
(libpurple0) and i got the following error:

libpurple0:
Depends: pidgin-data (<1:2.5.2-z) but 1:2.5.3-1~getdeb2 is to be installed

Seems theres a package dependency error
