Public bug reported: Ok I have an issue with the application lens in Unity... Most of the time the applications refuses to start when Ubuntu boots, which means no application searching... doing a "unity --replace" fixes the issue until shutdown... so I created a script that runs unity --replace on boot... however when unity starts back up from the script, no launcher, no system tray at the top or anything loads...
