[Bug 1794629] Re: CVE-2018-15473 - User enumeration vulnerability

[Bug 1337999] Re: speakup 3.1.5.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1: speakup kernel module failed to build
Wow, I see this package has not been updated in quite some time. I believe that I used aptitude search to find it, or possibly Google search. I was looking at both resources for a tool to build speaking into a script/program to notify me of completion, as my builds have (Popup Visual) notification now, but if I'm in full screen (movie) or not looking, it will fade away after about 10 seconds (full screen - misses it all). If this package is listed, and !maintained !working, it should be removed, or just fix the simple missing/misplaced parentheses, bracket, missing semi-colon, or whatever it is, as I sent details in the error report. I may fork, fix, and push. If the package works, or can work, it is stupid to remove a resource from the Ubuntu family for a semi-colon! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1337999 Title: speakup 3.1.5.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1: speakup kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/speakup/+bug/1337999/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 615045] Re: Running catman makes man display junk data
Is this going to be put into Lucid? As a workaround, you can do something like: rm -f /var/cache/cat*/*.gz -- Running catman makes man display junk data https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/615045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 523549] [NEW] The macro $LIB in LD_PRELOAD doesn't take into account the lib layout
Public bug reported: It appears that the $LIB macro you may use in LD_PRELOAD (see the manpage for ld.so if you're unfamiliar with this) doesn't take into account the layout that Ubuntu has for its libraries. On x86-64, 64-bit libraries are in /lib and /lib64 is a symlink to /lib while 32-bit libraries are in /lib32. It appears that ld.so assumes lib means 32-bit and lib64 is 64-bit. Changing this to assume lib32 is for 32-bit and lib64 is for 64-bit would work on Ubuntu, but I don't think that could be upstreamed. ** Affects: glibc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- The macro $LIB in LD_PRELOAD doesn't take into account the lib layout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523549 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 202876] [NEW] Totem won't play sound video file
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem I am an ubuntu user for about a year and never faced a problem like this one. Today I downloaded Ubuntu 7.10 from ubuntu.com and installed it on my laptop. At first, totem was able to play sound video files without a problem. But after installing apache, nessus, putty, filezilla, kwallet no media file worked. I thought the possibility that totem crashed for some reason every time I try to play a video or a song so I installed vlc but didn't work either. So, I decided to uninstall totem-gstream and re-installed it. The problem still occurred so I installed totem-xine instead. That didn't work either and every time I try to play a video or a song totem crashes and won't play any media file. I really have no idea what caused this. Thanks in advance.
