[Bug 496510] [NEW] poor cpu utilisation
Public bug reported: karmic seems to be making poor use of my CPU. (or top and powertop are giving odd numbers). CPU is atom with hyperthreading. while doing upgrade (and dkms was building the openafsmodule) i checked powertop and top. and was surprised to see the the CPU spending half its time at 50% clock speed. CPU is reported to be about 50% busy, but task only add up to about 30%. disk wait is very low less than 1% surely CPU should be at max, and cc should be taking up 100% of one of the hyperthreads. [Bug 399520] Re: wacom tablet not working after resume from suspend
this is still an issue in karmic. looks like the best way to fix is to create a file /etc/pm/config.d/50wacom containing SUSPEND_MODULES="wacom" eg echo 'SUSPEND_MODULES="wacom"' | sudo tee /etc/pm/config.d/50wacom maybe a file like this should ship in some package, though i am not sure which? -- wacom tablet not working after resume from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399520 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

i am have been running with the new module from karmic-proposed. i dont see the oopses that i had before. i have opened various pdfs: * on afs with credentials * local with and without credentials thanks -- evince makes openafs to kernel oops https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 415766] Re: evince makes openafs to kernel oops
the patch fies the issue for me. i can read pdf files from afs with no oops. i still get some audit messages in dmesg from evince. looks like it tries to read lots of random files when you load it. [Bug 452566] Re: album plays in wrong order
if found the clever nautural sort algorithm in utils/sorting.py NUMS = re.compile('([0-9]+)') ... return [ part.isdigit() and int(part) or part.lower() for part in NUMS.split(s) ] which seems to do the right thing on those file names. but i can see where this is used in the rest of moovida. elisa/extern/path.py seems to use elisa/extern/natural_sort.py instead, which does not look as clever. also can't see where metadata tags are used. -- album plays in wrong order https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
