[Bug 1124408] Re: wav file garbled in totem, plays fine in gst-launch and mplayer
I've been experiencing this on 14.04.3. The files are received from Nextiva (Voip provider) voicemail to email service. I played around with export formats in Audacity. On my system Totem seems to have this issue with the Microsoft ADPCM IMA ADPCM encoding. Each of these encodings causes the skipping and garbling when played in Totem. [Bug 1307783] [NEW] Gimp bogs and makes system unuseable
Public bug reported: Start Gimp. Repeated several times on my system: Create new image. Choose rectangle select tool. Select a portion of the image. Click on the color picker. System instantly bogs and becomes unusable. The color picker starts to slowly fade in and hangs. Switching to a terminal quickly, and typing top briefly shows Xorg at 90+% CPU usage. iotop shows jbd2/sda2 (my main partition) at 80+% IO activity. Kill gimp solves the problem. I can click the color picker at any other time and it pops up instantly. Just the process of selecting an area, and then clicking the color picker hangs it. Ok, the shutdown graphic appears to be displaying now. I still see several messages before xsplash shows up though. [Bug 438335] Re: Boot messages show before xsplash kicks in
fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16 fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16 /dev/sda3: clean 279342/14712832 files, 29086625/58821989 blocks (check in 3 mounts) /dev/sda6: clean 279342/14712832 files, 29086625/58821989 blocks (check in 3 mounts) * Setting preliminary keymap... * Starting AppArmour profiles Skipping profile in /etc/apparmour.d/disable: usr.bin.firefox-3.5 * Setting up console font and keymap * Starting database server couchdb This is more like mine, (i just copied messages from first post though), but I have a seperate home partition which fsck reports, and I don't have openssh-server installed which is likely the case with the first poster. This is as a fresh install of 9.10 beta alongside a windows partition. I have autologin enabled and it takes ~50 seconds to startup with no disk activity. Kinda disappointing seeing as how I have a reasonably fast machine (e6750 core2duo, newer 1 TB hd, 8800gts,4gb). Definitely speedier than 9.04 though. [Bug 382880] [NEW] cups pdf printing memory leak/inifinite loop
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups Previously, I've always been able to print PDFs from the command line. However, after the latest update on 9.04, I can nolonger print pdfs. If I try 'lpr xxx.pdf', My memory usage shoots to the roof. Running 'top' show the culprit to be 'pdftopdf' . I watched it climb to over 2GB memory usage while trying to print a 1mb pdf file. The same pdf prints perfectly on one of my 8.04 servers. I'm fairly certain this worked before the last cups update, but I'm not sure. I might not have been successful ever in 9.04. I know I was able to print in 8.10. cups: Installed: 1.3.9-17ubuntu3 Candidate: 1.3.9-17ubuntu3 Version table: *** 1.3.9-17ubuntu3 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.3.9-17ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cups pdf printing memory leak/inifinite loop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382880 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
