[Bug 1292113] Re: CTRL+ALT+T - shortcut to open Terminal is does not work

2015-07-15 Thread Stani S
Same issue. Suddently there is no response to CTRL+ALT+t . Occurs a few times a
week.
CTRL + ALT + F1-12 is working.

Restarting solves the issue.

[Bug 877008] [NEW] Empathy don't show Gtalk contacts but other contacs see Empathy's User

2011-10-17 Thread Andrea Stani
Public bug reported:

I use ubuntu 10.04. The version of Empathy is 2.30.3-0ubuntu1. after Adding a
gtalk account i've enable the account but empathy don't show the contacts list.
I've forced to install the version 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu3 of Empathy and
Empathy-common with sudo apt-get install empathy-common=2.30.0.1-0ubuntu3 and
sudo apt-get install empathy=2.30.0.1-0ubuntu3 but the problem is the same,
probably don't depends on this package. Adding another type of account like msn
acconut empathy show contacts list and works well. Taking open empathy other
contacts see who use empathy and if someone write something to user that use
empathy client the chat window appears and works well without change to
contacts list that don't appear.
Excuse for my very bad english.

[Bug 549118] Re: Phatch/Windows7 Window Stack Order Issue

2010-03-26 Thread Stani
Hey Robin,don't file Windows bugs in the Ubuntu bug tracker! (Even if it
is the phatch package.) Anyway this bug is inside wxPython so there is
nothing we can do about it.

pyWx/dialogs.py
class ProgressDialog(wx.ProgressDialog, ProgressReceiver):
+1 is added because eg opening a file is also an action

def __init__(self, parent, title, parent_max=1, child_max=1, message=''):
if message == '':
message = '.' * 80
ProgressReceiver.__init__(self, parent_max, child_max)
wx.ProgressDialog.__init__(self,
title=title,
message=message,
maximum=self.max,
parent=parent,
style=wx.PD_CAN_ABORT
| wx.PD_APP_MODAL
| wx.PD_REMAINING_TIME
| wx.PD_SMOOTH)
self.Bind(wx.EVT_CLOSE, self.close, self)

[Bug 538102] [NEW] Please sync phatch 0.2.7-1 (universe) from Debian Unstable (main)

2010-03-12 Thread stani
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: phatch

As the main Phatch developers are Ubuntu users, we worked hard to have a
bugfix-only release for Ubuntu Lucid, as there are some serious issues with
Phatch 0.2.6 For example:
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525999 (see also duplicate
https://bugs.launchpad.net/phatch/+bug/469701)

We also tested Phatch both on Karmic and on Lucid. This enabled us to fix some
critical Ubuntu Lucid specific bugs due to versions changes of PIL and pyexiv2
in Lucid. For example:
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532540 (Ubuntu Lucid specific)

As we fixed many bugs, the diff with 0.2.6 is huge, but the only difference are:
- bug fixes
- updated translations
- improving our test framework, which does not affect the installed
applications except for discovering more bugs and getting them fixed.
To see all changes: https://launchpad.net/phatch/+milestone/0.2.7

As this is a bugfix-only release, no FFe is needed.

The source tarball which was uploaded to Debian Unstable was:
http://photobatch.stani.be/download/package/phatch-0.2.7.tar.gz

Can someone provide a build log?

[Bug 497594] Re: performance: check for existing files *before* doing the processing on a picture

2010-02-25 Thread stani
@Ken

That is what I had in mind with 2. Some minor changes:

- I would store the session information in Phatchs user cache folder
- The session info should always be cleared if:
   - The whole batch process is done
   - The user does not resume a previous session
- The UI could be implemented like this if session info is present:
   1) Add dynamically a 'Resume previous session' checkbox to the execute
dialog box, which is checked by default
   2) Same as above, but leave it unchecked by default
   3) After batch in the execute dialog box is pressed, show a separate 'Do you
want to resume previous session?' YES-NO dialog

@Ken, Jean-François Fortin Tam: Which of the 3 UI solutions above do you
prefer?

2010-02-06 Thread stani
I think this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fretsonfire/+bug/357076

This solution solved it for me:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGL.so

Besides it is not a bug in impressive or fretsonfire... it is a bug in
python-opengl which is reproducable by:
$ python

[Bug 497594] Re: performance: check for existing files *before* doing the processing on a picture

2009-12-17 Thread stani
These are two different issues:
1) check for existing files *before* doing the processing on a picture
2) Resuming a session with (thousand) images

2 could be much more easy to fix. We could provide a ToolsResume
Session entry. This invokes a GUI where you can choose from previous
unfinished sessions and have an overview of finished and unfinished
images.

1 will be very hard if not impossible under certain conditions. It would
only be possible if Phatch could ignore variable changes in the save
action. For example if Phatch uses an imagemagick action it is
impossible to know the new image dimensions, but also for autocrop etc
... As ignoring variable changes will lead to incorrect results and
possibly harm the reputation of Phatch, I don't feel it is worth the
effort.

What is your reaction?

Do you mean EditReload Package Information? This does not update the
cache for the phatch package, it still lists phatch-cli. I can't see how
bug #466321 is related.

Does the memory increase also happen with jpeg files? How much memory
does your system have?

To debug I'll need the photo files as well. You can send them to me
privately if you prefer.

[Bug 461070] Re: WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/kernel/power/suspend_test.c:52 suspend_test_finish+0x7c/0x80()

2009-10-27 Thread stani
Thanks for the clarification! I have a very powerful laptop as you can
see by eg cpu specification Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9400 @
2.53GHz. But I have chosen to enable encryption in the Ubuntu installer.
So this slows down probably the resume. It might be useful to check for
this if users submit this bug report.

[Bug 461334] Re: GUI package is not listed.

2009-10-26 Thread stani
This probably has to do with the fact that the software center does not
seem to update its cache correctly. By mistake phatch.desktop was
shipped in phatch-cli, but this was fixed in phatch-0.2.3 and
phatch.desktop is now installed by phatch. Is there anyway to clear or
renew the cache?

[Bug 452430] [NEW] Please sync phatch 0.2.4-1 (universe) from Debian Unstable (main)

2009-10-15 Thread stani
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: phatch

Binary package hint: phatch

Phatch 0.2.4 is a special bug fix only release for Ubuntu Karmic. New
translations have been added, but not a single new feature. (So no FFe is
needed according to ScottK.) It fixes all the reported bugs against Phatch in
Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phatch

The source tarball which was uploaded to Debian Unstable was:
http://sd-2469.dedibox.fr/photobatch/download/package/phatch-0.2.4.tar.gz

The following packages have been accepted in Debian Unstable and should
be synced with Ubuntu Karmic.

I've attached the build log which was provided by Piotr.

The Ubuntu patch (bug 450800) is no longer required as it is now also provided
by the Debian package:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phatch/+bug/450800

This is the relevant entry in the debian/changelog:

phatch (0.2.4-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Upstream bugfix release (Closes LP: #450693, #449404, #452261,
#448993)

  * debian/control: added for phatch: Replaces: phatch-cli (= 0.2.3-2)
to fix file overwrite errors (LP: #450800)

[Bug 452430] Re: Please sync phatch 0.2.4-1 (universe) from Debian Unstable (main)

2009-10-15 Thread stani
The */docs/* are shipped in the upstream tarball as source restructured
text *.rst, which are converted by sphinx to *.html. Debian and Ubuntu
ignore the shipped *.html files and use sphinx at build time to
regenerate them from the source *.rst files. I don't know if this is a
Debian policy, but besides as the upstream author I would also recommend
it to ensure the html files are always up to date. (As a human being I
might forget to update the html files before doing a release.)

The diff we are seeing here affects only the */docs/build/html/* files,
which are ignored by Debian/Ubuntu, but not the */docs/source/*.rst
files which are used by Debian and Ubuntu. So this diff does not matter
for Debian and Ubuntu at all.

If you would be curious why the html changes and not the rst source
files, this is because the html uses now a left navigation sidebar
instead of a right navigation sidebar which affects the html code (but
not the rst source). But again, this is of no value for Ubuntu.

@Benjamin
Thanks. I still hope it can be accepted, as one bug is *very* critical at least
for phatch. Otherwise I would not take the effort to push this bugfix release.

I can't reproduce it. Can you do it again? After processing there should
appear a dialog which reports the time spend on the proces. Maybe you
forgot to press ok there?

Do you run Phatch from my PPA or in Ubuntu Karmic?

[Bug 448971] [NEW] Please sync phatch 0.2.3-1 (universe) from Debian Unstable (main)

2009-10-11 Thread stani
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: phatch

Phatch 0.2.3 is a special bug fix only release for Ubuntu Karmic. New
translations have been added, but not a single new feature. (So no FFe is
needed according to ScottK.) It fixes all the reported bugs against Phatch in
Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phatch

The source tarball which was uploaded to Debian Unstable was:
http://sd-2469.dedibox.fr/photobatch/download/package/phatch-0.2.3.tar.gz

The following packages have been accepted in Debian Unstable and should
be synced with Ubuntu Karmic.
