The same (or similar) bug appeared for me on ubuntu 12.04. The system suspends/resumes if I use the nvidia proprietrary driver but resumes with black screen with nouveau. I faced the same bug (when headphones are plugged in, laptop speakers are NOT turned off) but did not realize it was because of the suspend. I can confirm this error. Writer appeared windowed, calc covered the whole screen. Also Save your changes dialog is full screen for me. I switched back to kwin (ALT+F2, kwin --replace) then openeded openoffice calc. It was full screen. I unmaximized it, then turned on the compiz again (ALT+F2, compiz --replace). This helped me to have window decoration on openoffice calc.
