[Bug 646554] Re: Won't add files to JAR unless renamed to ZIP extension

2011-04-03 Thread yoblin
This now works for me in 2.32.0.

One thing I noticed, however, that I'm not sure is a bug:

If you drag and drop onto a zip archive that does not have a .zip
extension (e.g. archive), file-roller will create a separate file
(archive.zip) rather than updating the file you have open. Not sure
about other archive types.

Same issue. Doesn't prevent me from booting, it will recover from the
error, but when I plug in my external monitor I sometimes get this error
and it can't recover. need to reboot.

[Bug 646554] [NEW] Won't add files to JAR unless renamed to ZIP extension

2010-09-23 Thread yoblin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

When trying to add a file to a JAR archive via both drag-and-drop and
the menu's, it silently fails. If I rename it to .zip and then try it,
it works.

This is in Maverick,

2008-08-02 Thread yoblin
In the newest 8.04.1 release the wireless interface is no longer
detected. So the issue has changed.

The following drivers do work, and should be included in the next
release after testing it seems:

[Bug 184439] System crash with window roll-up + close

2008-01-19 Thread yoblin
Public bug reported:

I have found that rolling up a window and clicking the close window
button before it is finished rolling up causes the system to crash.
Killing X with ctrl-atl-backspace works with after a long delay to
restart things.

I am running feisy, compiz fusion, and gnome. All versions are the
current that are in the repository. Emerald is also installed.

Only my system with an nvidia chipset exhibits this bug, my laptop with
an ATI chipset does not crash. (It has a similar software setup)

Please let me know if you need any more information, I can run tests and
such if you like.

[Bug 154725] Re: Encrypted wireless networks crash gateway ml3109 with Realtek RTL 8185L in Gutsy

2007-10-20 Thread yoblin
I haven't actually tried WPA, I'm using WEP and that crashes it. Other
people are experiencing the same issue, I'm not sure if they are using
WEP or WPA. I'll contact them and have them add their experiences to the
bug posting.

Just to elaborate, the encrypted networks are still found, but crash if
I try to connect after the first of the two lights light up in the
connection icon in gnome.

If there are any tests or debug output I can post here, just let me
know!

[Bug 154725] Encrypted wireless networks crash gateway ml3109

2007-10-19 Thread yoblin
Public bug reported:

Can connect to an open wireless network fine in Gutsy, but if I try to
connect to an encrypted network the whole system crashes. The computer
must be hard-reset. The machine is a gateway ml3109, with wireless
chipset Realtek RTL 8185L. It's nice that it's at least pseudo-supported
under gutsy, in feisty it didn't work at all without ndiswrapper!
