[Bug 1004670] Re: Eagle will not run on 12.04 without manually-installed dependencies
@kroq-gar78 He probably means that eagle is missing a dependency in the control file. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1004670 Title: Eagle will not run on 12.04 without manually-installed dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eagle/+bug/1004670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1004670] Re: Eagle will not run on 12.04 without manually-installed dependencies
Actually, until two days ago I had no idea Ubuntu provided Eagle. I had gone to Eagle's download page: http://www.cadsoftusa.com/download- eagle/?language=en, and there's a binary available, but no mention of a .deb file or a package in Ubuntu. The binary just worked on 10.04 but not 12.04, since the former has all the 32 bit libraries needed. When I upgraded to 12.04, eagle stopped working, but now that I've installed the right 32 bit libraries everything's fine again. In any case, it looks like my circumstances were unusual, and there might not be too many others out there trying to install eagle according to instructions found on the eagle software page. I bet this isn't the most appropriate forum for letting others know how to fix my problem, but it would be helpful if it were available somewhere. [Bug 1004670] Re: Eagle will not run on 12.04 without manually-installed dependencies
Could you please elaborate on what you mean by saying manually downloaded? Did that mean you went through your browser and downloaded a .deb file, did you use Software Center or apt-get/aptitude? Thanks. ** Changed in: eagle (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1004670 Title: Eagle will not run on 12.04 without manually-installed dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eagle/+bug/1004670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
