Are you still having this issue? I've just tried to reproduce and have not
been able to.
I've tried the following to reproduce on precise instance in us-east-1:
- sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install git-core
--assume-yes
Additionally, I've tried running
https://code.launchpad.net/~smoser/+junk/check-archive/ (which checks all the
relevant index files) for each round robin mirror.
- ./check-archive precise precise-updates precise-proposed
http://us-east-1.ec2.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu -v

Importance: Undecided = High
