Dear Cristopher,
The model was a Toshiba NB100-10X which i do not have since then. The
problem as far as i remember was caused by a faulty interrupt of a laptop
battery (some chinese unicode characters appeared in the identifier string,
which the driver could not properly handle). Passing the -irqpoll flag
worked the problem around.

One more interesting thing I noticed: The ath driver always gets locked
up at the 21th interrupt. Afterwards the i915 driver gets hung at
also a round number of interrupts: 911, and 61. See the attached
screensot. Do you have any idea what this could mean?
