Well, then, I'm sorry we weren't able to track down what was wrong. I'm closing the bug, as it doesn't seem like we'll have sufficient information, and anyway the problem wasn't vim's. It's not vim that emits these errors, it must be some library it's using. There may be something missing from your desktop environment. Are you running under a gnome session, or do you use Xubuntu?
