Stan, when you file a bug report on Launchpad, you are automatically notified by email of all changes to the bug. To change the notifications you get from Launchpad bugs, find this text near the upper right corner of the bug report page: You are subscribed to all notifications for this bug. Left-click it to open a small window that lets you change your email notification settings. Stan, I am just one of perhaps hundreds of volunteers that got an e-mail about your new bug entry. I have never actually e-mailed you, the system has. I have only made entries directly in the bug report. If you want to know more about me and what teams I am a member of then just click on my name here in this actual bug report. Now I see, and from clicking on your name, that you are new here. Perhaps we ought to separate "not very professional" from inexperience as to how thing are done here. I wish you would reconsider your decision not to make any other bugs reports and such. Hi Doug: I am very sorry for my last comment but it was a Saturday evening and I had had a few rums. The comment "invalid" kind of struck me funny and I reacted thusly. With all due respect sir, you started emailing me with regard to the issue of the system settings icon etc. etc.with no mention whatsoever of who you were. I still don't know . . . . .you never said who you were or who you represented. In my opinion, this is not very professional. I will not make any more contact with the Linux site regarding bugs or improvements but will accept anything that is offered. I downloaded Mint today and was very impressed by the appearance and speed. As far as I can determine, it is not a bug. If you click on that small far right icon of the menu bar, then another menu will open. Hi Doug: Yes, I am referring to item #1. Can I ask you . . .am I mistaken or is this a (small) bug? It is not a big deal, but for someone who is not very good with computers, I could see how it would be quite confusing. I am just trying to be a helpful member of the "community". I have taken quite an interest in these alternative O.S's because of all the issues I have had and am still having with Windows especially XP. I almost gave up on Ubuntu 13.04 because my perfectly good Lexmark X2650 all in one just does not work with it at all. If you notice, there are many people asking about this particular printer on the help pages as well as myself before. Now that I have sorted out the problem with the printer, I am quite pleased and intend to further educate myself about how all this stuff works. The advantages seem to be many. Thank you for your comments.
