Maybe we should switch apport to be used for all bugs. :-) -- bug-buddy should propose installing dbg packages when available https://launchpad.net/bugs/13713 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello Fernando, I think you've been subscribed on the bug when it was still on https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7366 - you can unsubscribe yourself from the bug on the https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bug-buddy/+bug/13713/+subscribe link. Re: [Bug 13713] Re: bug-buddy should propose installing dbg packages when available
I don't know why you do mail me about ubuntu switching to some in-house solution. I've been discussing the missing debug info with the GNOME community for a while. We have talked a lot about it (blogs, mailing lists, GNOME summit), and then plan was use airbag library on client side to create minidumps and build a server infrastructure fetching packages+debuginfo and using airbag to populate minidumps files with nice rich debug information. I've talked to the Ubuntu community several times to join efforts in a cross-distribution/platform solution. [Bug 13713] Re: bug-buddy should propose installing dbg packages when available
Still not doing that but the new tool which is being worked ("apport") should get automatic debug backtraces and be used instead of bug-buddy ** Changed in: bug-buddy (Ubuntu) Assignee: Sebastien Bacher => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs -- bug-buddy should propose installing dbg packages when available https://launchpad.net/bugs/13713 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
