[Bug 145354] Re: evolution - filter mailboxes for duplicates - wish
There are plenty of reasons to get duplicate messages in any mail client, so please add the feature to get and remove duplicate messages. The existing plugin evolution-remove-duplicates(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=384338) is not compatible with Ubuntu Maverick. A model could be the Remove Duplicate Messages Thunderbird plugin (https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/956/) Evolution is powerful and misses this basic feature. Please add this feature. Thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145354 Title: evolution - filter mailboxes for duplicates - wish -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 145354] Re: evolution - filter mailboxes for duplicates - wish
When using filters I can get incoming and outgoing emails to the appropriate folder automatically. However, Evolution insists on leaving a copy in the 'Deleted Items' folder. When I 'expunge' the Deleted Items folder all emails that have been deleted via a filter remain in the Deleted Items folder. As far as I can see what appears to be happening is:- Initially an email is brought into the main Inbox or Sent folder, then the filter applied, then the email moved to appropriate folder and finally the original in Inbox or Sent 'deleted' by sending it to the Deleted Items folder. this results in two copies on the system. One in the filtered folder, one in the Deleted Items folder. This duplication may be why it cannot be 'expunged'. This is very messy and deserves more than a 'wish list' status. It is a bug! [Bug 145354] Re: evolution - filter mailboxes for duplicates - wish
My evolution just duplicated 500 mails in a folder, by its own, while I was dragging a message from inbox to another folder. Being able to delete duplicate messages in a folder is really needed here. KMail was able to do it for years already. -- evolution - filter mailboxes for duplicates - wish https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145354 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
