Yes, it can often be retried. If you don't have permission to do it, ask someone on #ubuntu-devel. Or follow up here with the package name and I'll take a look. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545586 Title: regression: python3-pytest doesn't contain pytest module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pytest/+bug/1545586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1545586] Re: regression: python3-pytest doesn't contain pytest module
I got bit by this too - a package I maintain in Debian failed to build in Xenial. Now that pytest has been fixed, is there a way to force the Ubuntu builders to try rebuilding my package for Xenial, or is the only way to bump the package revision?

As I explained there, reverting the change in 2.8.7-2 breaks Ubuntu today (and very likely Debian, whenever Python 3.4 is removed). ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #814622 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=814622 ** Also affects: pytest (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=814622 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545586 Title: regression: python3-pytest doesn't contain pytest module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pytest/+bug/1545586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1545586] Re: regression: python3-pytest doesn't contain pytest module
Looks like the culprit is line 37 of debian/rules, in the override_dh_auto_install block: rm -rf debian/python3-pytest/usr/lib/python3.5 Barry Warsaw added this line in this commit: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/python- modules/packages/pytest.git/commit/debian/rules?id=c6eb0d1da9bdf2a0cfb40d69711e8a88e86d4657 Barry, is this due to Debian supporting multiple versions of Python 3? Is there a less hacky way to do this so that it builds in the Python 3.5-only Ubuntu Xenial as well? ** Changed in: pytest (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: pytest (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Logan Rosen (logan) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545586 Title: regression: python3-pytest doesn't contain pytest module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pytest/+bug/1545586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
