Also in my case I solved it by disabling WMM, not sure how to solve this
for this ticket... Since it's really environment related.

dz0ny (janez-troha), it will help immensely if you filed a new report with the
Ubuntu repository kernel (not mainline/upstream) via a terminal:
ubuntu-bug linux

Please feel free to subscribe me to it.

For more on why this is helpful, please see

And for "not a ISO3166 code (0x30 0x30)" error. Turns out driver only
recognizes 3 zones US,TW,FR :)

You can test this by running $ iw reg set "SI" for example.

[Bug 1575321] Re: brcmfmac: Direct firmware load failed

2016-11-10 Thread dz0ny
@lapeth brcmfmac43602-pcie.txt is stored in your efi fs and part of
firmware package in efi FS. You can extract it from
there(/sys/firmware/efi/efivars/) but that file only contains some
calibration data and driver is still unstable... Common theme with these
device, most people suggest you replace it with intel card :( It's shame
Broadcom is such "not caring at all" company.

[Bug 1575321] Re: brcmfmac: Direct firmware load failed

2016-06-27 Thread Lars Peter Thomsen
I do have a wired icon regardless of connection type. However, it is
only the wired connection that actually works; disconnecting the cable
does not change the icon, but does remove connectivity altogether (so
there's a "wired-connection" icon even though networking is not
working).

It sounds like the file "brcmfmac43602-pcie.txt" is just missing from
the kernel package, while it is expected to be present. Is that a
reasonable deduction?

[Bug 1575321] Re: brcmfmac: Direct firmware load failed

2016-06-25 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Cruz Fernandez, this report has nothing to do with bug #1594614. Your
WiFi functionality works fine, while the original reporter has an issue
with WiFi not working intermittently.

Also, as is noticed in lspci.txt, you have a different subsystem of WiFi
(among other hardware components), which would help account for the
difference in behavior.

I've seen a very similar problem and reported bug #1594614 .

Did you saw a wired-icon instead of wifi by any chance @peter-sabaini or
@lapeth ?

[Bug 1575321] Re: brcmfmac: Direct firmware load failed

2016-05-05 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.6 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
