[Bug 1722222] Re: Ubuntu 17.10 Desktop installation: LVM missing on alternative partitioning

2018-05-02 Thread Pander
How I fixed it was to install lvm2 by jumping to a shell before stating
the installation. Then the installation does finish.

2018-01-23 Thread Maraschin
I think you miss-understood me.
How can I install lvm2 if I can't finish the installation?

The installation it-self is the problem. it doesn't allow me to manually
configure the disks in the way I want it!

Example with 3 disks:
- disk 1: windows and /boot
- disk 2: /
- disk 3: /home and swap

Requirements:
- dual boot
- full encrypted disks
- lvm to be able to set /home and swap in the same disk

* It would be the same issue if there was one or 2 disks!
Example, one disk with 3 partitions:
- windows
- /boot
- Encrypted partition
  - LVM:
- /
- swap

Workaround is to boot live image, open terminal and install lvm2 via
apt-get install. Then start the installer.

BTW, it is not a nvidia-graphis-drivers-384 package related. I did
remove that but it seems it did not work :-/
