[Bug 183293] Re: [FTBFS] kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5) fails to build in hardy
Thanks for this, its a good debdiff but I have doubts if hacking around the ftbfs its the right way to go. I wonder if pkgstriptranslations has been made so unresilient to this on purpose, ie. to really avoid building a package with such a blatant packaging bug; I need to discuss this with Martin Pitt. ** Changed in: kfolding (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Cesare Tirabassi (norsetto) Status: Confirmed = In Progress -- [FTBFS] kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5) fails to build in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This bug was fixed in the package kfolding - 1.0.0-rc2-5ubuntu1 --- kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low * debian/rules: + Remove empty po/en_GB.po before $(MAKE) install to make pkgstriptranslations happy (Fix FTBFS; LP: #183293). * debian/control: + Modify Maintainer value to match DebianMaintainerField spec. -- Marco Rodrigues [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue, 15 Jan 2008 18:58:36 + ** Changed in: kfolding (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed = Fix Released -- [FTBFS] kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5) fails to build in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 183293] Re: [FTBFS] kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5) fails to build in hardy
This debdiff looks correct. Cesare, indeed we made pkgstriptranslations so picky because LP does not get along well with empty .po files, and usually they indicate a packaging bug. An FTBFS is very obvious and hard to miss, and avoids accidentally killing all translations in LP with an empty .po file. -- [FTBFS] kfolding (1.0.0-rc2-5) fails to build in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
