[Bug 242651] Re: jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL
I strongly suspect that this is an issue with the kernel, rather than with JACK, because my Focusrite Saffire LE works fine with JACK (although I didn't start testing it until 9.04). I use the ffado rather than freebob. Could you retest, with more recent software, and if it still doesn't work, provide a set of instructions that might let me reproduce the issue? ** Changed in: jack-audio-connection-kit (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 242651] Re: jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL
Libfreebob is no longer maintained upstream. It's development has been superseeded by libffado (added in Ubuntu 9.04). Please confirm if you are still having issues and if so, please reopen this report. ** Changed in: libfreebob (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 242651] Re: jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL
Is there anything suspicious in dmesg? (I suppose not, otherwise you would probably already posted it here.) I think you should ask at the ffado-user mailinglist whether there are ways to gather helpful diagnostics. PS, I am entirely unexperienced with both ffado and Ubuntu; I'm only involved in upstream IEEE 1394 kernel driver maintenance. -- jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Also, note that this is NOT a duplicate of Bug #231085, which refers to the inbuilt RICOH chipset in my Dell XPS M1210 laptop and the same card. Which never garnered a damn reply, so I don't even know why I mention it. -- jackd, freebob, Focusrite Saffire LE, TI ieee1394 chipset FAIL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
