[Bug 242921] Re: patch to show wifi channel
There is additional value to have the channel number in the wifi-radar GUI. Your patch looks good, although I did not have the chance to apply and really test it. Checking out the latest upstream trunk shows the channel column is in their TODO file. Maybe things speed up a bit if you post a patch against their latest version to their mailing list. I'd suggest a reply to https://lists.anl.gov/pipermail/wifi-radar/2008-March/43.html. ** Changed in: wifi-radar (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- patch to show wifi channel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242921 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 242921] Re: patch to show wifi channel
That is effectively what this patch does behind the scenes, just adding a nice GUI in front. Thanks! [Bug 242921] Re: patch to show wifi channel
While this issue is sorted out, what you probably want to do to figure out a suitable channel for your wifi is something like this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bin$ sudo iwlist eth1 scan | grep Channel [sudo] password for jlind: Frequency:2.412 GHz (Channel 1) Frequency:2.412 GHz (Channel 1) Frequency:2.412 GHz (Channel 1) Frequency:2.462 GHz (Channel 11) Frequency:2.472 GHz (Channel 13) Frequency:2.437 GHz (Channel 6) Frequency:2.462 GHz (Channel 11) Frequency:2.422 GHz (Channel 3) Frequency:2.437 GHz (Channel 6) Frequency:2.437 GHz (Channel 6) -- patch to show wifi channel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242921 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
